“Excellent food prepared with the attention to detail and skill set that has propelled II Davide into one of the best restaurants in the entire Bay Area. The food and service is under the watchful eye of the owner, David. This is the rare case when service, food, and wine combine to create a wonderful dining experience. Ask for Lucy...a true professional. I'll be back!”
“This spot is AWESOME!!! Not only is the food delicious and great portions, but the staff is totally amazing!! Everyone that works here seem genuinely happy and enjoy what they are doing. We had so much fun and laughter. Can't wait to come back. Thanks for confirming the best decision of the day.”
“This is the best restaurant in San Rafael and they have a lot of nice ones here but this place is perfection. Food is amazing. They are fast and the service is (only) the best service you have ever experienced. That’s all. Just that.Do yourself a favor, and go here and treat yourself. The prices are very reasonable but make sure you are kind to the staff and tip generously and they will make your night really magical and special. Thanks guys. I love your love, even though Valentine’s Day is not my favorite day to go to dinner. At least when I have to go there alone. ?❤️? “Best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to so far in the US.”
“My entire family loves Lotus and we appreciate that the food is made with high quality, organic ingredients. This food is the closest we've gotten to how food tastes back home in India :) Recently I worked with the Lotus team to cater a 45-50 person event. Surinder, the owner, was phenomenally helpful. He was in touch with me regularly, on time for delivery, provided everything I needed including the matches to keep the chafing dishes warm throughout the night. He went above and beyond. We were already HUGE fans of this place and are now SUPER fans. My preschool-aged daughter loves this place too and asks to go here all the time :) HIGHLY rec!”
“Love take out. The best minestrone and garlic bread. Yummy. Try it.”

“This restaurant is a true gem. Nestled in the Montecito Plaza strip mall is this truly authentic, incredibly fresh and delicious Indian culinary excursion. Every dish is uniquely flavored with generous portions and lovely service. Larry and I will be regulars!! Don't miss it!!”
“This is hands down my favorite bar... In the world. It might also be the best bar in the world. The cocktails are off the hook, the bartenders are friendly and welcoming and the vibe is perfection.”
“San Rafael Location…My husband and I were in SF on business. We travel often on business and whenever possible we look to try a local Puerto Rican restaurant, especially because we only have one back home and it’s ok.I’m from Puerto Rico, ?? I L❤️VE Puerto Rican food! The food at Sol Food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Don’t recommend the mofongo, however, everything else was REALLY good! It was our first t experience with shared, “community seating” and it was very nice, great vibe, music and very friendly staff! We did have to stand in line for a few minutes but Sofie came out to greet us, handed us menus and went over the menu with us. Super friendly and professional! My husband ordered half chicken combo and I ordered the steak combo which both included rice & beans, tostones and a nice salad! We added a side of avocado, plus I ordered their chicken soup and also, cafe con leche! Everything was delicious!!! They have a unique menu they don’t serve empanadas, pastelillos or any of the typical fried appetizers. They also have a take out only side next door with a small market. Very smart business model.1 hour drive from San Francisco to San Rafael was definitely worth it! We will definitely be back! Special thank you to Sophie for her warm hospitality!??top notch!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Friendly, family atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, easy wheelchair access.”
“Well, I discovered this small place in the heart of San Rafael and pffff I fell in love with the cuisine that led me to remember my mother's food in my beautiful Mexico. I'm sure I'll come back to try more of the menu but today I tried some carnitas and asada picaditas and their super tasty horchata water, I fell in love with this little place”
“This place is really authentic. Food is cooked from scratch. Yuca is crispy and delicious. Beans are so tasty and pupusas well filled with yumminess”
“I live in Sausalito incase anyone thinks I’m a regular and I’m trying to plug a friend’s place or whatever. This is the best breakfast in Marin. Food is so fresh and the staff are exceptional. I work in the service industry and don’t usually leave reviews. Really evident team culture and refreshing attitudes all round. Well done to all!”
“Super cute spot with great boba and friendly staff. I’ve had the brown sugar milk tea and the mango sticky rice inspired drink which is amazing and so unique and fun! Easy to order on the kiosk and quick service.Dietary restrictions: They don’t use powdered mixes so you can get the drinks dairy free with alternative milks”
“I highly recommend this place for authentic and delicious Indian food. My favorite dishes are the following: 1. Butter chicken - chicken very tender and juicy, sauce tastes so good especially with the naan bread (they should bottle the sauce and sell it!) 2. Yellow dal - we enjoyed this dish. ordered mild spice but next time will order medium spice as we want a little more heat. 3. Appetizer Samosa - comes with 4 per order, generous amount of filling with potato and green peas. It was a little spicy. Comes with 2 dipping sauces - green sauce and sweet sauce.”
“Talked myself into trying something different today... Fried chicken thighs and it wasn't up to par as the pork belly is. The chicken may have been over bribed as I found it real salty :-(”
“Such fresh good food. I made my own scramble it was beyond delicious!!!”

“Just purchased the fennel pollen pasta with the Ragu Saltimbocca this morning at the Farmers market at the Civic Center. It was fantastic!! Served it with a little fresh grated Reggiano Parmesan and a nice salad with produce from the farmers market and it was better than 99% of restaurant food. Really lovely and the owner was charming and so honest and you should absolutely run right down and buy some. Support our local entrepreneurs and eat well too! Can’t wait to try another one of his tasty combos.”
“Omg this is the best pho - B1 Rare beef pho for only $15! Good Thai iced tea and A3 shrimp cakes for a side. I am so glad I found Pho Tao today. Definitely coming back with friends. It’s such a joy to find good Asian noodle soup in Marin, which is a rarity. Takeout or eat-in. Nice interior for dining in or a comfy outdoor patio with umbrellas. I like the wallpaper!Vegetarian options: Easily marked as vegetarian like item - C6 Vegetarian Noodle Soup.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place. There were families eating there when I went.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access by ramp from the parking lot”
“This place is really really yummy .. very unique delicious flavors; all this was $99 and honestly worth every penny! Good for them. Would definitely recommend to friends. Service was good there was really only 1 guy helping the whole place and he was on top of it ! He could've used some help though. Nice big TVs playing sports to set the ambiance and vibe. Very tasty and quality restaurant right here. I would recommend it!”
“We are new to the area/California from NY we were delighted to find pizza as amazing as home! Friendly owner and staff.”

“I have been in a few times and had the beef bibimbap and it was delicious. The kimchi radish was also very good and my mocha was yummy. The cafe was clean and the owner was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back again.”
“Ounces is such a great addition to Terra Linda! The food and drink menus change often and are consistently phenomenal. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a cider, wine or a beer and I've never been disappointed! Trivia on Wednesdays is always fun, and the weekends have a live music.”
“A “Must Stop” for lunch! The best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. Wanted to go back and just order a bunch of bread to take home and spoil the family. The perfect crispy crust and then soft chew center with lots of wonderful savory sourness. I had the Ham & Pastrami. Perfect fresh ingredients. Everything you want in a deli sandwich at a reasonable price. Lots of selections so I’m heading back for future yummy bites. Excellent personal service.”

“Perfect way to say I love my family with Ice Cream cheesecake ❤️”
“Awesome coffee and a very comfortable space to sit and enjoy the coffee.”
“We found one of the best kept dining 'secrets' in Marin county via KQED 'Midnight eats' . We read multiple reviews on Petes before taking a chance and decided to bring our 90 year old Father in Law for his belated birthday dinner. Well, we were not sure what we were in for...but we all had a BLAST!The food is delicious, the weeknight specials were recited by the super friendly female bar-back (what ELSE do you serve?), and our server was attentive and on-point. The place is laid back in an industrial area of San Rafael, NOT PRETENTIOUS, and super casual (wear jeans and a tee!). After all, you can eat at the bar or at the few tables scattered around (its dark in there like a Vegas lounge). There is one side for eating/drinking; the other is for cards/poker games. Lighting is dim, but the service is warm, friendly and neighborly. My FIL dug into the Prime Rib Special (thursdays only) and within the hour, he polished off the entire plate of food. The slab meat filled the plate along with creamed spinach, baked potato and was delicious, melt-in-your-mouth. Our compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff! My sisters in Law had 2 burgers and raved about the fries/Onion rings, and were thrilled. The meal was great and one of the BEST VALUES IN MARIN COUNTY. Dad was impressed, and it was a 90th birthday to remember. Thank you Petes and the friendly down-to-earth staff.”
“Had to drop a Pinnedhaggler Poppinhock off at Glare Attaway's Speedo testing center so his lead pressuretester Anaconda John can iron out some wrinkles in their new product line, before they flood the market up in Guerneville. I drove right past the Redwood Cafe on my way there and planned on eating there when I was finished, so here I am.The grilled ham and cheese sandwich was Spectacular! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆”
“Outstanding!! We got there just before they were to close and they seated us with smiles!’ Service and food was outstanding!! Definitely recommend and we will be back!”

“I paid for extra meat for the spicy wagu ramen and although the dish was really spicy and really good I don’t feel like I got a food value for what I paid for. For 3 items nearly $35? Expensive.”
“We had the most delicious pastas and wine! The service was fantastic as well. We highly recommend TKT for your next night out!! Even our toddler was impressed!”
“Wanted to try the quesabirria & birria tacos. We were not disappointed! Will go back and want to try the mole buffet on weekends”
“Love the rooftop...but the lounge is great! Great selections of liquor... MAX: knowledgeable with his mixology skills NICO: made an incredible drink on Christmas! Mezcal, apperol, and have no clue...what else was in it. That night we named it " Nico Suave " highly recommended!!!! Big shout out to RIZA/CINDY...they have a great team!”
“We (Cantonese) normally order here for takeouts. The beef chow fun and string beans with beef are tasty and plentiful, right up there with SF CT, call in orders are always on time and Service is friendly.”
“Sakura sushi is honestly a great place to eat, but here’s the thing. The food is great but the service isn’t. Plus they don’t give you directions that you actually have to get up your self and order. I sat there for over a half n hour with my father, just for some tobiko nigiri. And it’s not an easy place to find, the location isn’t very pleasing. Theo overall review is four stars. Thank you.”
“We came in for lunch on Sunday and the place was packed. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who quickly brought us a couple menus. He explained that we could order directly from him or use the QR code on the table . We aren't big fans of ordering with our phones so we opted to order from him.We had some questions about what was his favorite thing on the menu and he told us the burger was his favorite. The burger was amazing. My friend ordered a tuna melt and was really impressed.I highly recommend the range cafe. Great food and great service.”
“I wanted to give this place 5 stars. The service was great when I came in they greeted me and the order went fast and the food came out fast. But the carne asada tacos weren’t as good as the place I usually go to. The meat wasn’t seasoned very well and it just had onions and very little cilantro on each. They didn’t add much to the meat in each taco, and each taco is pretty small. The atmosphere, specifically the music, is really good. However if I were to come here again I would probably spend a little more and get an entree plate or burrito or something a bit bigger and more filling, now that I know the tacos are on the small side.”
“The food and the service is really good, I highly recommend this place , the food taste like if it was made at home, when I usually go to a restaurant I order always the same because I'm afraid I won't like other dishes but here everyone I had order it's tasty and have to come back for a different dish since I can't eat it all , the staff is very friendly!! I totally recommended”
“I came here because the San Francisco Chronicle listed it as one of the best 10 tamales in the bay area. I was not disappointed. It’s not traditional corn masa tamales from Mexico, but rather rice or potato masa tamales. The sauces are wonderful the meat is tender, and the tamales melt in your mouth. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful in helping me make my choices. I bought six different tamales to take home. I’ll be back.”
“Great food. Friendly staff. Good music walking distance for me”
“Best Thai food in Marin for decades. The Pad Thai especially is the best I've had. I've tried comparing it to many other places and there is something about Bay Thai that cannot be matched by the rest”
“Lots of choices on the menu. Don’t get the calamari, though. Too greasy. Potatoes and chicken skewers were excellent, though. Get a half carafe of Sangria to wash it all down.”

“I regularly order the chicken pho to take out. It is really delicious. Incredible flavorful broth and plentiful chicken and many condiments to add. The owner is very pleasant and accommodating.”
“I was rather upset when I moved into Marin County because my favorite bread place was Raymond's in South San Francisco. Then one day at Safeway I decided to try a Bordenave's extra sour baguette. I am in Seventh Heaven. I'm hooked onto these beautifully tasting baguettes. One day I'll make it to their bakery in San Rafael.”
“This place is the best and I hope they never close! I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!”
“Roy, Dante, Chewie, and everyone here is very passionate and hardworking. The quality of the meats is superb. Their sandwiches hold well and taste as good a day or two later.”
“I was having a party in Fremont, and wanted cute floral cupcakes (that I've had bookmarked in my Pinterest for YEARS!!) i did a search of the area, looking to see who makes such a thing. Of course I had no luck. I was able to find two bakeries somewhat close (over an hour away). One in San Rafael and one in Sacramento. San Rafael happens to be somewhat closer to my office in San Francisco so I figured I could Uber deliver some cupcakes to my office. Owner Sarah was amazing with working with me on time, date and delivery, not to mention finding the right color combination for my bouquet etc. My bouquet came out gorgeous, everyone loved them and they were extremely yummy. I highly recommend this bakery, especially for events as your guests will be in awe with the floral artwork. They look so real!!!!”
“Amazing bread and croissants! Also love the brown butter chocolate chip cookies. A must have stop at the Farmer's market Thurs in San Rafael. Cannot wait until he has his own brick and mortar store. xo”
“My go to place for lunch and sometimes dinner. The Staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. Ive recently been hooked on the cheeto wrap, which just adds some extra crunch and in my opinion is to die for. The rest of food there is incredible and you wont ever leave hungry. The place has a very relaxed vibe where you can step away from work or whatever you were doing before and just escape. Ill be coming here as long as im around and the food just keeps getting better and better!”
“Amidst the bustling culinary landscape of our fair city, there exists a dining establishment that transcends both time and tradition, a place known as "Tender Tenders." With a tagline that boldly proclaims "the best tenders in history," one must prepare for a gastronomic voyage like no other. Yet, dear reader, beneath this alluring veneer of culinary excellence, a whisper of enigmatic intrigue weaves its way through the hallowed corridors of this establishment. As I ventured into the ethereal confines of Tender Tenders, I was immediately captivated by its opulent décor, reminiscent of a bygone era. The ghostly candlelight flickered gently upon the aged wooden beams and timeworn maritime artifacts, a testament to a history rich in maritime lore. Little did I know that these antiquities concealed a secret; one whispered among the city's culinary cognoscenti—an owner of otherworldly origin, a spectral pirate from an ancient past. The menu, a veritable parchment of maritime marvels, beckoned me forth into the unknown. The star attraction, as promised by the restaurant's bold claim, was their legendary tenders. The Ghostly Captain's Signature Tenders, to be precise. These tender morsels of succulent chicken, dressed in a whisper-thin, ethereal batter, were a revelation. Each bite was an exquisite dance of flavors, a fusion of culinary prowess and spectral mystique. One could almost hear the distant creaking of a phantom ship's timbers as the flavors unfolded on the palate. The spectral touch extended beyond the tenders themselves. The sides, such as the Ghostly Slaw and Haunted Fries, bore the unmistakable mark of a chef who had transcended the boundaries of time and space to deliver a dining experience unlike any other. The coleslaw, with its delicate balance of tang and creaminess, invoked the nostalgia of long-lost seafaring feasts. The fries, crisp and golden, seemed to carry with them the echoes of a pirate's treasure chest. The service, though subtly imbued with an air of otherworldly mystery, was impeccable. The staff, who moved with an uncanny grace, attended to every need with an almost preternatural intuition. One could almost believe that they were spectral apparitions themselves, orchestrating a symphony of culinary delight.Dessert, too, bore the unmistakable mark of the Ghostly Captain's mastery. The Phantom Parfait, a delicate confection of ethereal creams and mysterious fruits, left me in a state of culinary rapture. It was as if the very essence of the ghostly owner had been captured in this final course. As I departed Tender Tenders, I couldn't help but ponder the enigmatic figure that is the restaurant's owner—a ghostly pirate from an ancient past. It was as if his spirit lingered in every corner, infusing the restaurant with a unique blend of history, mystery, and gastronomic excellence. Tender Tenders, with its extraordinary tenders and spectral ambiance, is a dining experience that defies both time and convention. It is a place where the boundaries between the living and the spectral blur, and where culinary mastery meets spectral enigma. A true Michelin star establishment that transcends the ordinary and beckons the adventurous diner to embark on a journey of taste and intrigue like no other.”
“Outstanding!! We got there just before they were to close and they seated us with smiles!’ Service and food was outstanding!! Definitely recommend and we will be back!”
“Nice food. I love this place for dinner.Vegetarian options: Whole food plant-based option for me was boiled vegetable with side order of peanut sauce and side order of brown rice. ?”

“I only have used the drive through here although it is very convenient and never have I had to wait in line or for my food for more than a couple minutes. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The only issue with this location is that they don’t always get the brand new menu items because it’s also a KFC. it’s pretty great to be able to get your nacho fries and kfc’s Cole slaw at the same time.”
“The chicken is good sometime dry , I come often today was the same family meal, the only decent side was beans the rest mash potato and Mac and cheese was half full, was not busy day but I don’t know very disappointed!!! When I opened at home !!!!”

The only issue with this location is that they don’t always get the brand new menu items because it’s also a Taco Bell. So you can get your chicken pot pie, cole slaw and nacho fries all at the same time.”

But it’s worth it. I complain about the coffee every restaurant I go. Even fancy one. But their coffee it’s super good ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️”

“Best coffee in san rafael IMO! Lenny is really nice and always has my order ready! Nice vibe and close to my work! Highly recommend!”
“Seriously, best burrito in North Marin. Repeating this post because 1) Facebook asked me to write a formal review and 2) it's too empty when I've gone and I want people to keep them in business!”
“Darling coffee and boba shop. They roast their own beans and the coffee is delicious! Lena, the owner, is so sweet. Easy off and back on 101 S. Happy to have found this unexpected gem.”
“Food was great! The service was better! They were sweet to our kids and gave our oldest a gift certificate when they learned she was a starving college student who lived nearby.”
“A small local sandwich shop right off the highway with fresh ingredients and soft bread. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and my partner had the turkey sub both hit the spot. If you get the large you will definitely have leftovers. This place will be on our roadtrip stops from now on.”
“Great coffee great service most of the time. People working there need to learn to communicate and let customers know when they are backed up so when they make an order, they understand how long it will take instead of letting them know after the fact.”
“I love going here with my dad! The food is delicious, but the service could be a little better. Nobody refilled my water and checked in, and you have to go to the front to pay. The pricing is reasonable and the food is good !”
“Coming back from a car show towards the city and happened across this place in SR.Makes me feel like home in the south. Amazing diner food, chicken fried steak was top notch AND you get the Mexican dishes at top quality as well. Coffee was excellent and the staff are super friendly.”
“I got the Carne Asada “Deluxe” burrito for $15. Burritos be getting pricey everywhere honestly but local joint beats a Chipotle, for me.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall taste, was very delicious and it was pretty big, it had a fair portion of meat but wish it had more. The flavors were balanced and savory but it lacked in spice for someone who really enjoys spicy (and it was extra spicy they said). For me it beats something like Chipotle in flavor and price. There’s a 10% discount if you are a local student in the area.”
“How nice to finally have an excellent Chinese restaurant in San Rafael. Nicely decorated, friendly and efficient service and delicious cuisine! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.”
“"Kababbq Grill & Café offers a delectable fusion of savory kebabs and flavorful grilled delights in a cozy atmosphere, making it a must-try for those seeking a delightful blend of Middle Eastern and barbecue cuisines."”

“I am adding to my previous review from my old phone. They now have wait staff, but I'm wondering if I miss the old way of just ordering on your phone. They only have one person and she seems to be pretty overwhelmed much of the time. Having said that, the food is hands-down, the best bowl of Ramen I've had in Northern California--Consistently great.”

“We had a great dining experience at the Black Bear Diner. It was the perfect stop to escape the other high price resturants in the area. They were very accomodating for our large party and service was excellent.Vegetarian options: Not too many options though it is possible with salad and if the vegetarian eats eggs and fish.”
“Arrivederci is back! Once again, the food is delicious. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. We went there last night. The food and service were superb.”
“I have been in a few times and had the beef bibimbap and it was delicious. The kimchi radish was also very good and my mocha was yummy. The cafe was clean and the owner was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back again.”
“The Habit Burger in San Rafael offers delicious, juicy burgers with a variety of toppings. Their crispy fries are a must-try, and the service is friendly. The casual atmosphere makes it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal. Prices are a bit on the higher side but a solid choice for burger lovers.”
“Very friendly. very clean, seems family oriented and maybe that's what makes it work. Love it!!!!”
“to start with they ask you how u want ur burger cooked, they have alist right their telling u whats is on ur burger, so u can tell them what u want & do not want, that is true service !!!! & their bergers & hotdogs r great !!!! their 1/2lb burger / sauted onions is $12.oo , the going price these days, no wonder the lines at n-n-out r so long !!!!”
