I just picked up a chicken tostada salad and it is extremely bland. No flavor at all. How can you go wrong with beans... well, even those are flavorless. And the ceviche tostada made with orange juice is also questionable. Seems it is on its way out and so am I. Will never return to this place. I come from a long line of Mexican cooks and believe me when I say that this IS NOT authentic Mexican food. It's watered down and flavorless. No Mexican spices utilized.

They pride themselves on being authentic Mexican, and there was nothing authentic about the food. It was very bad no seasoning the restaurant was so cold even though we got our food lukewarm by the time we tried to eat it it was freezing cold. The only thing that had seat seasoning and it was the salsa and it was so hot. You couldn’t taste it. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants authentic Mexican food. You’d be better off going to Taco.

I went to eat there and this is a terrible case, they don't know how to eat, the chicken fajitas seemed like waste for the chickens, the tables were all dirty and the bathrooms were covered, but to charge if they were good, the pineapple water was from a bottle If you were a health inspector you would have already closed your business, the stars don't pay attention, that's not true,

The woman who claims to be the evening manager is a piece of work. Not only does she take the wrong order, and don't apologize, but she gives attitude. She demands more money for every single item. The day crews are very friendly and treat you with respect, but this racist woman treats non Hispanic customers with attitude and loud voice. The owner needs to investigate and get rid of her. Service really sucks.

Friendly service and authentic food. This is probably the best Mexican food you can get in this area. Big menu, lots of options and decent prices. Atmosphere is nice and they have a good location. Overall a great place.

There's a reason why this place is always so busy and it's because it is a good value with large portion sizes.

It's a hit and miss. Depending on day of week when ordering delivery. My 3rd and last time getting my taquitos this burnt to literally black. Yet this time of 2 orders, maybe 1 or 2 Pisces of a square chicken and onion and that's it, completely burnt. After 3 chances, I'm done. I paid 24 bucks for these 2 orders...

El Taco llama has the best Mexican food I've tasted, I'm Mexican and tried many different places, if you like al pastor, this is the most flavorful meat around. Hadn't been here in 15 yrs, tried today and wow was not disappointed. Friendly service good food, can't beat the price

With so many restaurants to choose from, we thought we might try El Taco Llama in Newhall. We were impressed by the artistry, the colorful chairs and tables. As for the food, I was really happy with my Chile Relleno. It tasted fresh and it was covered in a tasty sauce, peppers tomatoes and onions. It was not inundated with cheese inside or it, allowing for the pepper flavor to survive. Even the plates were vibrant. If I have one small issue, it was with the wimpy plastic forks and knives after such a lovely presentation of their food, it just seems wrong. I understand the economics of it, just not the aesthetics.

Food is excellent. However, both times my family and I have been here, the woman that takes orders, Allison, has been rude, condescending and patronizing. She laughs at customers and shoots nasty facial expressions at people when taking orders. In the back, she is on her phone and possibly touching food? We will not be returning. We will happily take our funds to El Pariente across the street as long as she is employed here. Willing to change my review if she is removed.

Gotten 2 breakfast burritos here on different days. Yummy but sadly both times had egg shells. This last time the egg shell pieces were significantly large. To be paying $13 for a burrito with egg shells is unacceptable.
