Food is delicious, the portions are just perfect and the price is fair. Service is pretty quick and servers are very nice and friendly. The place is small but its decorated pretty cool. But it's no issue!

There are restaurants with a million options (talking about you, Cheesecake Factory).. and then there's Way station, a landmark of a diner (in Old Town Newhall in the SCV) since opening for business in February 1971. Their menu is limited and has not changed much, yet there is always a wait to dine in and locals are constantly coming back for their all day breakfast options. They must have figured something out successfully if around 900 pounds of coffee and thirty dozen eggs are used a week, amirite?! Also, if you happen to forget to bring your smartphone, there's license plates from all over the world mounted on the interior walls to doom scroll through

Food was great busy place but your taken care of right away when walking by before you go in the aroma is like going to grandma's house

The most iconic breakfast food of all time. My personal favorite is the Kris Special with sausage and sausage gravy over the top. I have never had hash browns before or since that even come close to being as good as theirs - crispy brown edges on the outside, and tender and fluffy inside, but I do order the hash browns well done! Service is quick and efficient. This is NOT a place to camp. Get in, eat at the counter by yourself, or with others at a booth, but get your food, eat, and leave. It's about giving you great food and turning tables as quickly as possible. I've eaten here probably hundreds of times in my life, and I've never had a bad meal here. Pancakes are excellent and huge, and they have an enormous monster waffle. Everything is delicious.

I went here for brunch with a friend. I only went one time with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The service was subpar, the food didn't meet expectations (flavorless and messy), and I found the ambiance to be lacking. While I understand that every establishment has its own unique atmosphere, the atmosphere here felt uncomfortable. The presence of chipped coffee cups and the state of the sticky tables only added to this discomfort.

Love going back here and it still looks like I remember as a kid in the 70's! It's like a delicious Time Machine. The food is good and they have my favorite hash browns of all time. Service is fast and friendly. No frills perfection!

Now I remember why I haven't been here in 10 years. Surly waitress who got my order wrong and when I mentioned it, just shrugged her shoulders. Eventually got my food. Very bland, sub-average, and about twice what it should have been price-wise. Won't be back. Sad.

Waystation Coffee Shop in Newhall, California, is a corner coffee shop that harkens back to the 70's. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and highway travel themed ambiance of license plates from various states. The ham and eggs they serve are simply basic but good, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of flavor and tenderness. Their thin cut pork chops are fine. Hash browns are well done with a grilled onion stuffed inside. Whether you're stopping by for a quick breakfast or leisurely brunch, Waystation Coffee Shop makes it convenient. Friendly staff, good coffee, and popular dishes, it's definitely a spot for comfort food fans in the area.

This place is the best breakfast in Santa Clarita. Best hash browns I've ever had, and you cannot beat the prices! Service is great as well!
