The food took and appropriate amount of time to be prepared as everything my wife and I ordered was freshly prepared. We ordered fried whiting / fried chicken / collard greens / rice and beans / fried pork chop / & shrimp . Literally everything we took a bite out of taste so amazing . I wasn't sure what to consume more of lol . The different flavors combined for such an exciting meal . The red beans with rice is definitely a favorite of mine now & I would say the drive from Windsor was well worth it 10x . You won't be disappointed , give it a try .”

“I’ve been here a few times, and it is really excellent. They have a larger menu than your typical CT family-style Mexican restaurant, and the food is more authentic. It’s very fresh and delicious and they have breakfast all day, including chilaquiles and breakfast burritos!! Also love the home-made hot sauce.The service is great and the people there are very friendly. I highly recommend eating here. They are waiting for their liquor license so it’s BYOB for now, but their non-alcoholic drinks like horchata and tamarind agua fresca are delicious. Definitely worth trying.”

“I absolutely love Vernon Pizza! Every single person is always friendly on the phone and in person, even when they're clearly very busy. The food is always hot and delicious. Love the chicken bacon cheddar wranch wrap, philly wrap, salads are huge and great, wings are awesome and did I mention the pizza rocks too?”

The decor is a little dated so if classier atmosphere is what you're looking for go elsewhere. If you want well prepared italien food, larger portions, reasonable prices, friendly, efficient waitstaff and in a warm, family familiar setting....you have arrived!”

“I get pizza here probably once a week. It's Greek style, very delicious and people are nice here. Their fried chicken dinner is amazing! The zing wings are great, especially with the zing hot sauce (ask for it!). It's a pizza restaurant with great options for entrees, apps and grinders as well. Family owned business. Ambiance is a casual pizza restaurant. They have a private room for private events as well. I had a birthday party for my son there once. It was great. Parking gets a little hectic when they're busy.”

“This place is amazing. Best burgers anywhere, bar none. Fries are creative, plentiful and delicious, and milkshakes are to die for. I've been twice, once in Avon and once in Cromwell, and was truly impressed both times. They serve Bell & Evans chicken and ground beef that's more commonly found in 4-star steakhouses. I love it!”

“Went to a private birthday party in the vip room. There are 6 lanes,a bar and plenty of seating. The food was buffet style and it was ok, nothing to rave about. It was basically wings and pizza.It's a great place for a kids birthday party.”

“My gf and I went here recently. The guy told her they were closed but told us to come in. He was very accommodating. When he saw me on crutches he told me I didn't need to come in I could tell him what I wanted and he would bring it to me. That was very very good customer service on his part. I did decline and went inside as I didn't know what I wanted for sure. I hope management sees this review and passes it on to the worker as he deserves to see this and be connmended for his awesome customer service. We will definitely be back. I wish I got his name but I didn't all I know is the guy had a accent.”

“I see a few negative comments. I have to say, I've been coming here since they opened. I always thought grilled burgers were better. I may have had a problem here and there but most times everything goes smooth. They have better everything. I remember when McDonald's got caught having dehydrated onions and soy in their all beef burgers. I always could taste that onion I hate them. But this burger king is good. I've seen the manager work right with the help. When they did make a mistake they quickly fixed it free. As far as mask's go. Well some people just don't like it. I don't believe they didn't serve one customer but served the next. Buisness has a right to take precautions. If you don't like it. Go to McDonald's ?”

“We stopped here for a quick lunch on the drive to NY. It was around 1:30 Friday afternoon and wasn't too crowded.Service was efficient and friendly. All three ladies were very nice and friendly with all customers. Seems like there are some regulars here as well.Place was very clean and bright. It was a bright sunny day too.We ate our sandwiches- sweet onion chicken teriyaki, steak teriyaki and the outlaw.Overall good experience here!”

“Go to Jacob's coffee house that are meetings AA meetings there Wednesday, Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. I believe there's one Tuesday morning at 10:00. Any place to get AA is a good place in my opinion. I am in recovery. I have not attended to Jacob's coffee house. I have gone by one night and it looks like it was fun. People were playing guitar and singing but I go there for AA meetings so that's why I gave the food and service a low cuz I don't know”

“I visited Square peg pizza and bar mainly because of a really nice outdoor grill .This really stood out to me.After going inside on ocassion I tried some the tap beers at happy hour and had some brick oven pizza , it was really enjoyable ,good conversation and nice atmosphere inside : nice for quick lunch or evening out.Mostly Italian foods ,salad selection ,ect...comparatble pricing to other restaurants and bars and grills in the vernon CT area.”
