“Where do I begin. So many wonderful food choices. We shared the boiled potatoes appetizer Papa a la Huanciana, which was a great start to our relaxing dinner. I had pesto pasta with ribeye steak, Tallarin Verde with ribeye, which I understand is a favorite of many Peruvians. The pasta was full of flavor and the steak put it over the top. We shared three scoops of homemade ice cream covered in chocolate. Our favorite was the passion fruit ice cream.”

“Celebrated my son’s and future daughter in law’s 30th birthday. The staff made it an extra special lunch with special treats. Our waiter was top notch!”

“5/5 on taste and looks this was really good!!! Things that I think can improve would be adding drinks like a milk choice. I think having food products you need drinks. And also the forks are really cheap and when the cakes are cold the fork given bends. I think this can be changed and doesn't change that the taste is amazing”

“I came here for dinner with a friend, and I was blown away by the quality of their food! They cooked the steak perfectly - more on the rare side (this is the French way), and it was absolutely delicious! Everything else was wonderfully seasoned, and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal.The service was fantastic! I highly recommend this spot and I can't wait to return for another meal!Vegetarian options: Ratatouille was the only vegetarian entree I could see, but I didn't look too hard. Many people ordered this dish, so it's apparently really good!Dietary restrictions: I would avoid this restaurant if you have any significant dietary restrictions. Butter is used in everything so there's no way around that!Parking: West Hartford Center parking.”

“Great experience for the 1st time going to sparrow pizza Bar had some mozzarella sticks personalized pizza with pepperoni. Both things were excellent love it love. The pizza thin crust excellent taste Mozzarella sticks were out of this world, And the meatballs were excellent also. The customer service was Excellent. “Great wait staff! Pros- Service was excellent! Many of food items were delicious- puff pastry, pate, panzanella salad, halibut, scallops, crème brûlée, chocolate mousse. Cons- tried to seat us at back table next to restrooms (common experience for older women); we asked for window seating and they accommodated. “Hamachi Crudo-Thai basil, peanut, strawberry”was over-sauced, sauce was heavy, had many jalapeños!; all disguised delicate flavor of fish.”

Dylan was extremely kind and helpful when I called to inquire about seating, making a reservation (they don't - it's a waitlist system)... our server Lauren was awesome! She was patient (we had a million questions) and made wonderful suggestions. Super helpful considering we were first timers... and the food! Everything we ordered was delicious! The mushroom dumplings, general tso's shrimp, the ramen were all fabulous, fresh and full of flavor. I had the ground chicken seasonal special and am absolutely going back before the season changes to have it again. I highly recommend this place.”

Kobe was incredibly and charming and I would recommend trying them every week ! Gill presented the cookies to me and they were handled amazingly ! And it smelled so clean and sanitary I asked her name it and was laila and said you will get recognition as well because everyone counts !!! This organization is a sweet place ! “We came down from Vermont for my highschool reunion and met up with some classmates at ZSP. The pies came out quick and they were amazing! This is not Dominoes, there are no boring pizza's here. They're made with local ultra fresh produce and meats. Do not miss out on the dipping sauces. Honey Siracha, that's definitely the one you want. Our server was amazing. She was super friendly and incredibly patient. The owner, after his long day, could have kicked us out when it was time to close, but he said we could hangout on the patio instead. We can't wait to come back!”

“Not your typical take out! They offer gluten free items and flexibility for allergies. We drive over 45 mins just to come here. I've never had an issue, and I am pretty sensitive today gluten. Always a family hit. Not a lot of seating. It's more like your typical take out place. We always dine in because we drive so far .Dietary restrictions: They seem to get it! We have gluten, dairy and pepper allergies/intolerances. Gluten free items are marked, but you can also request items to be gluten free too. (Not everything, but a good percent of the menu). They swapped out bell peppers for me without a problem. Staff was friendly. I would suggest that if you get something that was automatically gluten free, just remind them you have an allergy, just to be careful.Parking: Parking is right in front. It's a tiny strip mall a ways away from the center of West hartford. I've never had a hard time parking, but it does seem limited.Kid-friendliness: Staff have always been super amazing with my kids. Alternative food options for picky eaters too. I would just warn there's a magnet on the soda fridge that says a cuss word, Incase you are sensitive to that.Wheelchair accessibility: Probably not the easiest, but not impossible. I wouldn't recommend eating in, as all tables seem higher than bar height”

The calzone didn't come with a side of sauce.Like a lot of pizza places these days they aren't quite set up for dining in. They do have a couple booths and will basically bring a takeout order to your table.Overall the food and pizza are good and enjoyed ourselves. The portions were good and the prices are reasonable. There is plenty of parking out from, though it is all marked for them to bring your order to your car.”

“Take-out food recommendation! Hot Basil Thai Food, 565 New Park Ave, West Hartford. Ordered three dishes at 2:15pm today for pick-up. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING, but the price SHOCKED me at how low it was. I guess the lunch menu prices is reduced. I will be doing this again, frequently. I've eaten there for dinner several times per year for years and never regretted it, but this blew me away, both the quality and price. Let's be sure to keep them in business with take-out orders!”

It's not inexpensive, but prices are in line with other West Hartford eateries ($17.00 for a plain Margarita ). The service left something to be desired. We were a party of four early on a late Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was fairly empty and my wife and I arrived first. No one came over to ask if we would like anything while we waited for the other couple. I had to go up to the bartender to order something for me and my wife and he also brought chips and salsa. Once our friends arrived, the service improved somewhat.”

“Had some shopping to do at Westfarms mall. A late lunch at Tavern in the Square sounded perfect. Located in the former area of the Sears automotive center - there are lots of new shops & restaurants (my 1st high school job was at the Sears that is now REI). Space is open and industrial. Lots of big screen TV's to watch sports on, a huge bar in the center, and an enclosed porch (it was closed when we were there). Service was good - they made sure we had whatever we needed. Food was also good. My husband had the burger which he liked. I had a chicken sandwich with avacado, a small amount of spice (pepper jack cheese) & lettuce & tomato - pretty tasty. Fries were ok - kind of standard restaurant type.”

Not only was the food amazing but the optionality brought to the table really made this restaurant an amazing experience for all whether or not you choose to use the Halal menu. After all, there is no harm in removing the Halal menu options from the menu as it only restricts the customers experiences and will therefore hinder the people that are able to experience and enjoy this lovely food. Moreover, the customer service is absolutely amazing! Not only were we treated with respect but the food was delivered and served at an amazing taste and temperature in a timely fashion. The moral that should be taken from this review is to keep the Halal menu options on the menu and make it a year round experience so that all can enjoy because really, I was taken aback from the sheer quality and service provided within the boundaries of this establishment.”
