“Dfac never again!! As of January 27, 2020 (rules may change) this place accepts Airman who are in dorms on meal card. Food is super good, like the SAC if you were ever stationed at Fort Sam. Chicken tenders? Slap. Chicken ceasar salad? Slaps. Sicilian sandwich? Slaps. Catfish sandwich? Trash. Mozzarella sticks? Pretty OK. Guacamole burger? SLAPS. You can also cal your order ahead and it'll be ready by the time you get there. 10/10”

“Super small, but so fast. Claimed my bag within 3 mins of getting off the plane. They are all very organized and kind. Ugh I don't remember the guys name who was organizing the baggage claim, but he was providing great entertainment with the microphone while keeping it in line! Not many places to eat but VPS isn't a layover destination so you don't really need to worry bc you can eat before and after!”

Advertised as "not for the weak or fainthearted", this local dive is a sight for sore eyes for any who have been playing in the swamps, or visiting friends on Santa Rosa Island.Meal selection is limited and primarily military inspired in nature. Alcohol is not served to anyone who appears unhealthy or emaciated.Other amenities include archaic washing stations, laundry units, places to feel sad, and inspirational comments from the employees like "go".Seating is limited.Lots of indigenous history to persue. Brush up on your knowledge of the Gator Lounge by perusing the war-time decor adoring the walls, did you know it once burned down??Overall... I would probably not willingly return to Gator Lounge for any reason, although I have heard some people opt to cycle back through. Truly an experience you will never forget”

“We went through the drive-thru and the gentleman that helped me, was so kind. He was so friendly, and making sure he got my order correct. I enjoyed the customer service he put out there. “This place is good, good portions, and for the sheer amount of orders they handle, very efficient.I don’t know what people expect when they leave such poor reviews. As one of the only lunch spots on this side of base it gets super busy, so yes, the wait is long, but for the amount of orders they’re taking it’s reasonable. The food is good. They only have one oven, so you can expect things to take a while when everybody gets their sandwich toasted. Especially when one person starts ordering for a whole office.As for the comments about rudeness, I haven’t experienced that at all. They don’t have time for chitchat, so they tend to be straight to the point. If you don’t know what you want before ordering, that’s on you.Yes, you’ll wait, but that’s not their fault. Build in extra time and there’s no problems here.”

“Hands down the best seafood and sides I’ve had in a long while. The cheese grits were creamy perfection! The shrimp and grouper was breaded and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back soon with my family. The service was amazing!!”

“Out of all the Irish restaurants I’ve been to, this is by far the best I’ve been too. From the first step in to the last bite, you feel like you teleported to Ireland. The lighting is very dark on the inside, as you can see in the unfortunately dark photos. We were seated right away and the staff were very nice. They have a good sized drink menu with their own craft beers which are very good as well. Every time I eat at a restaurant I like to start with a couple of appetizers due to my big appetite. Be careful with ordering a lot of appetizers here because they are HUGE portions. Probably the biggest soft pretzel I’ve ever had. The food here is so good I over stuffed myself so I could keep tasting it. The menu is a little big and everyone in my party was a little overwhelmed with it. I wish this place was in my hometown so I could eat here all the time.Parking: Tight parking lot with one way areas.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.”

“Delicious lunch buffet, I tried everything, including the meat items, which i don't usually eat. everything tasted good, back again, dal makhana was to die for! (fantastic) love the shrimp masala, delicious kheer. I really enjoy dining in a place where I can start with soup, and finish with salad, and have all the other delicious courses in between, and not break the bank, I recommend dining here.Vegetarian options: Dal makhana was great, I put it on everything.Parking: This place is a bit difficult to get to at times in this location, traffic can be horrendous. I'm glad the music, atmosphere and food made up for it. I'll be back. I recommend eating here.”

“Found this place by accident. The menu options are both familiar and unique enough to feel maybe you're being a little adventurous.The sweet potato gnocchi was delicious. Very flavorful and memorable. I will return for this alone. The portion was perfect. Husband got a burger ( big Mac n cheese?? Idk maybe) with sweet potato fries. He really liked it. (Lots of other side options) Try the almond tea. Smells and tastes great!The husband said he'd have no problem returning. He liked where this place is located. Among the hustle and bustle but indoors with floor to ceiling glass so you can still see outside. It shares a space (the city hall food court) with an indoor bar and overhead music that wasn't too loud.The friendly owners took our order, cooked the food, and brought it to our table.”
