Charming location.... way out in the country! Plenty of seating, able to accommodate larger groups. Food was good, nothing super special but definitely tasty and lots of it! Had the ribs, fell right off the bone. The German potato salad was super vinegary. Would plan a trip back for sure!
This was a trip down memory lane for my husband... his father used to bring him there as a child. It was nice to see all the history in the building. The food was excellent! Our group had a little bit of everything on the menu... it was all very good. The service was great! The only thing I'd comment about the atmosphere is that if you're not a local, the patrons in there will let you know. When we walked in, we got the "you're not from here" looks. We came on a Friday evening at like 7 and we got seated right away. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was FANTASIC!! We got the BBQ pulled pork platter w creamy slaw and fried apples and the smoked ham platter w baked beans and fries. We also got the drunken potato spikes as an appetizer and they were SO good. This was also one of the cheapest date nights my bf and I have done in a long time. Highly recommend!!Parking: Parking super close to restaurant.
