“The best “productive” coffee shop for study & work in the area. The atmosphere/vibes are satisfied (especially upstairs), along with library like silence upstairs and exceptional service, I love it. The quality of their food and lattes didn’t quite meet my expectations for a third string coffee shop but it was still fine overall. I’m eager to tell my friends and come back here for productive studying :)“

“If you’re anywhere in the area, this little unassuming cafe is an absolute must.To start, Laura—who it seems typically opens in the morning—had my order memorized like I was a years-long regular after just a single visit. I waltzed in just after opening (7:05), hoping not to be “that guy” that walks in super early while she’s trying to do her side work. She assured me that all was good, and that I was more than welcome. She virtually started making my breakfast before I even ordered. Wow.Next, the food. The FOOD. The COFFEE. Some of the best savory all-American comfort breakfast food I’ve had, genuinely. I’m a coffee snob, and I like mine on the sweeter side. They nail it with their caramel lattes (at least Laura does). The atmosphere is a very warm-toned rustic feel, so it almost comes off as if you’re sitting in someone’s living room. At the center of the room is a few sofas and a table, to boot.Again, if you’re anywhere near VS&C, pop on in. You won’t regret it.“

“A great little place for breakfast or lunch! They are open until 1 every day except Sunday when they close at 12:30. The service is great! My order was out quickly considering how busy the restaurant was. There aren't a lot of tables, but there always seems to be one available when you go in. The burgers are fantastic, as well as their breakfasts. The prices are very reasonable as well. Check out the mug 'n' muffin, you will not be disappointed!“

“Stumbled upon this place while traveling for work. A small, old school homestyle cafe with friendly staff, and typical greasy spoon menu. **Cash only, but I believe they had an ATM inside if needed. Believe my meal was $10, can’t get much for less than that nowadays.“

Vic's Beer and wine - Ora Care Inc Cafe • $$
878 Sumner Ave, Springfield - 6.3 miles

“The most important facet of my visit with Violet is her knowledge base, warmth and genuine concern for her patients. As a healthcare professional myself I was in awe of her knowledge and information she shared during our visit. I was a novice in the realm of CBD. Violet educated, encouraged and acknowledged our fears with a cancer diagnosis. She walked us through each step of treatment, requesting us to bring in current lab work. She not only understood the lab work but explained to us what each step would be in treatment. My husband is cancer free today. Having been diagnosed with both tongue and lung cancer from agent orange expose. He is cancer free today through surgeries, chemo and CBD. I truly believe in part it was our determination to find all the therapies, CBD being one of them that has rendered him cancer free. I can not thank Violet and her expertise in this matter for all she has done.“

“Been here twice now and it's been great! We used to drive by all the time and never thought twice. We actually thought it was a catering business and didn't realize it was a restaurant. We've hit it at pretty good times because we've never had to wait. It is small but the waitstaff absolutely hustle. It feels like I'm in someone's home and the food matches that energy. Good, simple, home cooked no nonsense food. Pastries are awesome too! We've had pancakes, scrambles and egg sandwich's and all have been great. Looking forward to another visit!“

Gin Mill Cafe • $
3095 Main St, Palmer - 7.66 miles

“The Gin Mill is exactly what you're looking for, if you want a local dive bar with some distinctly interesting and unique characteristics. Read the other reviews and you'll get the right idea. They make a pretty decent home-style fried burger for a few bucks -- exactly what I needed and vastly superior to a fast food burger. Not gourmet by any stretch but better than I expected. I'd be happy to return. (BTW, there's virtually no AT&T data connectivity in this locale, so don't go there counting on it.)“

“I came here because my throat hurt and I wanted hot chocolate. I don’t like tea or coffee, so I had no other option. The hot chocolate was not very good and I was disappointed by it. I did get a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel, which was amazing. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy and the staff was very nice and understanding. I would definitely go here again, just not for the hot chocolate“
