We brought our friends from Canada who LOVE Italian food, in fact she took a cooking class in Italy and they LOVED it!!! I feel lucky to have this little restaurant so close to home!“

“I'm surprised by the 4.2 Stars and after reading some of the negative reviews, perhaps we just got really lucky, because I thought everything was excellent!! My aunt, cousin and I went during Winter Restaurant Week (I know, a little late in my review) and we ordered different entrees from the prefix menu andevery dish was so so good! My aunt loved her fish tacos, my cousin loved her vegan bowl and my chicken and fries entree was so bomb!! My chicken was tender and moist and my fries crunchy! We sat by the window with an incredible view of the lake. The desserts were to die for and my beer flight was tasty! Mind you I'm writing this from memory from 2 months ago and can still remember how delicious everything was. My mouth is watering right now as I write this review. Oh, the manager or owner stopped by our table to say hello so we thought that was nice. :)“

“Al & Alma's Supper Club is one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice, laid back Lake Front Restaurant on Lake Minnetonka. It's not right on the water but has very nice lake views. They do have Cruises on Lake Minnetonka on 50+ foot Boats that are also very nice. My favorite food at Al & Alma's is their Liver and Onions priced $14.85 with a salad and a couple of sides (baked potato, green beans, Etc, Etc. All of their food is very good.I highly recommend Al & Alma's Supper Club....we go there at least once a month.ps.--- my wife says my comments read like an Advertisement for Al & Alma's. I have NO interest in Al & Alma's....I just enjoy the Restaurant.“

“Great fresh donuts, the reasons we can’t do the Big Corporate Donuts anymore. But oh. my. god. How did they make the gold standard of apple fritters? Nobody actually likes apple fritters, worst of the pastries… Until you have a Dufner apple fritter. It has no business being so crisp, so soft, just chef kiss perfecto every time.“

The food is good and the drinks are phenomenal but like all places I wanted to give this a 5 Star rating but I would say more like a 4. They were short on servers. They had one bartender making Tons of drinks By herself, she did a phenomenal job and with a full bar besides not one stool empty in front of her. Our server was good. She was a little overwhelmed. She was working outside tables and inside, but overall we will be back, it’s to bad that all these places are hurting for servers.“

“I want to thank the staff at this Perkins for their efficient waiters and supporting members. I called two weeks prior to set up an area for 20 people. My husband had passed and we were having a family breakfast before everyone left to return to their homes. They kindly had it set up when we got there. The waiter, Joel, did an amazing job of taking care of us. With the help of two other waiters we were well taken care of by them. They served the kids first, which all the parents appreciated very much. I told Joel I wanted the check. He then helped me navigate through the card machine. He asked me what this celebration was for, Birthday, anniversary? I told him no, it was for a Celebration of my husband life. Said he was sorry for my loss and gave me a hug. “We stopped there for dinner and sat outside on the patio because it was a nice day. We had the Johnny Cake for an appetizer. Then we had the Chilean Sea Bass and the Cedar Plank Salmon. For dessert we had the Rhubarb pie with homemade ice cream. Everything was just amazing! High quality food that was cooked perfect. The texture and flavors were outstanding! “Went here for a quick bite after some cocktails. Packed on a sat night about 10pm ,bar and tables mostly full but we got served right away at a high top . Server was great,and typical American bar food but that's what we were looking for The Cajun dry rub chicken wings were pretty good and the boneless buffalo wings were okay too. The tall dark haired male bartender was quick to greet me as soon as I got up to the vert busy bar with a smile! He got my drink right away, and I paid then without starting a tab. A friend went to grab me a drink from the bar, and they were back withing 5 minutes. Quick service! I would definitely go back and have dinner.“

While the truffle flavor in the burger was a bit subdued for my taste, I still enjoyed the meal. It’s rare to find sweet potato fries these days, and it was a delightful addition. I would suggest introducing a special house dip, perhaps a blend of mayonnaise and ketchup, which pairs excellently with sweet potato fries.“
