One of the best pizzas I've had. We got just traditional pepperoni and it was fantastic. The garlic and flavor of the bread and the sauce are amazing. Cool place with nice bar. Service was great.

Service was top notch. Very friendly. The pizza was alright but what they charge is a bit overpriced. Got a Detroit style pizza with ricotta and hot honey. The ricotta was drizzled and seemed heavily seasoned. The pizza was quite small for $24 ($4 to add hot honey that we could barely taste). The atmosphere left something to be desired. Overall not bad, just not great.

Friendly staff, great local beers, and a nice tavern style pizza. The crust was thicker than I’m used to — midwestern joints serve these up cracker thin — but it tasted great, so no complaints.They also have Detroit style crust and a huge variety of toppings, so you can add to a predefined pie or build one from scratch.

So cool to have Detroit Style Pizza in Black Mountain! The pizza was really good (could have been cooked a touch longer to brown up the bottom) and the atmosphere was AWESOME with a Bluegrass band playing for Friday night..They also have a really nice patio if you are there on a nice day.We got the pizza tots and they were ok, but would probably not get them again. Nice beer selection, with some local brews.All in all, great place! Thanks for adding pizza - Black Mountain Ale House!

We enjoyed this place. We sat at the bar and the bartender/server was very funny and gave us some good recommendations on places to visit while in the area. We ordered a couple of beers and a Roni pizza. The pizza was good, the drinks were good, the atmosphere was good.

My wife and I decided to come here while on our honeymoon! It's hands down not only the best pizza we have ever had!! But, the server gave us great info , and really does a great job here! This brick cheese and Valoro sauce is to die for! I live about 2 gours away and will be driving back up to black mtn , just to eat at their pizza and sleep house!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Stopped by for a lunch and grabbed a few beers and a sandwich. Bartender was working solo that day, taking care of the whole dining room and the bar and did a great job too, cool guy. The beer was cold and the sandwich was a joy to eat but the greasiness of the bread could be a bad time for some people.Parking: Street parking kinda tough to find when there’s people out and about

Server was very nice and pleasant. The food is overpriced for what it is, and very underwhelming. The fried mozzarella was $11. You get 1, it was barely warm, served with red sauce and what looks and taste like Franks hot sauce. The pizza tots were not great at all. They tasted like chewy overcooked dough. The menu has very few options. The one you find online is not correct at all.
