I was born and raised and Florida and moved to nc about 3 years ago. I'm half Cuban and i have been trying to find a Cuban place here that is close to what i grew up eating in Orlando and Miami. Look no further guys. This place is the real deal! Real Cuban owner. Authentic Cuban food and wonderful atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE it and it reminds me of the Cuban food i ate growing up. Please please give this place a try. 10/10 would always recommend

Kinda pricey but so authentic and delicious! Love this cute place. You can even sit outside and then shop in the cute gift store attached to the restaurant. Everything is amazing!

One of my favorites in Black Mountain. Very friendly and welcoming vibe, serving up some seriously good Cuban grub. Fills up quickly, so come early if you're wanting to eat in.

Really small restaurant but you can get your stuff to go a take short walk to the park and eat outside.
It is an excellent undertaking with a lot of courage in the middle of a totally American region, you have to have courage for it. The place is clean, small and cozy. It has a rear sharing area that offers a little more space or perhaps privacy to a group that wants it. In order to continue being cozy, there is a small outdoor table for those who want to enjoy the warmth of spring. Set with excellent decoration and Cuban photos, without forgetting the roots of the tasty Cuban sauce. I must say that I was expecting more Cuban variety on the menu. I certainly didn't try everything, but one thing they do is they love to have everything crumbled. The mostly Hispanic staff, the super friendly owner who tries to go the extra mile on a slightly restricted menu. The person taking orders should have more flexibility when making their offer and try to be a little more accommodating to the customer, which must be the reason for the restaurant's existence. I ordered a bowl of rice, beans, pork and tostones, which to be honest, I thought would be a little small and surprisingly it was a more satisfying portion of which I had leftovers because it was more than my exaggerated stomach can tolerate. As for the taste of the food, I will say that it is extraordinary, excellent, a flavor that highlights the tasty Caribbean seasoning. They offered me a homemade cilantro dressing that was not necessary for such a tasty meal that could have hidden the divine flavor of the food. Doña Beatriz, the captain and owner, was kind enough to sweeten my soul by giving me a coconut flan made by Cubans, but it was a Puerto Rican recipe. Without a doubt, impressive flavor. I couldn't leave without ordering the famous Cuban coffee, which was definitely the dot of the i. Fantastic taste of real coffee. ALERT for whoever comes, the place does not empty, despite visiting it at 1:30 pm the clientele did not stop. Congratulations to whoever deserves it for making this place possible.

Great staff and amazing authentic Cuban food - we eat here every week and are always leave happy!
The Cuban cuisine was on point 150% (we resided in South Florida most of our lives). The courteous and knowledgeable staff were excellent as well. My wife and I enjoyed cortaditos (50-50 steamed milk w/Cuban espresso), pastelitos, croquettes, Cuban sandwich and roasted pork. And yes we're full, LOL. Atmosphere was great as most of the tables were full. A little slice of South Florida in Black Mountain, NC (who would have thunk that?)
Worth waiting in line for! The location is small but offers dining in or take out. 100% authentic Cuban food recommended to you by a Cuban food snob. Don’t wait until the last minute to order as items sell out quickly. Photos would have been provided but it was too delicious to stop and take a pic. The server was kind enough to adapt a menu item for my children. Dog friendly with limited outside seating provided. Also, don’t forget to order a cafe con leche!
