Laid back vibe and wonderful beer. stop by for a real local treat! Some selections are staples and some change with the seasons. Christmas cookies is a current favorite with us.

If you’re in Black Mountain and looking for a great cheesesteak- look no further. I had the cheesesteak and my son had the Texas toast burger. Both were excellent!

Love this little brewery! The owner and staff are friendly and terrific people. The beer types are varied enough that everyone should find a favorite. The deck, lot and building provide lots of variety in seating to choose from. Mac's food truck has excellent cheeseburgers and cheesesteaks. Local friends keep the fire-pits burning in winter.

Cute little brewery off the beaten bath. Excellent selection of beers. It's so nice to visit a brewery that is not all IPA's and funky beers like strawberry-PB-pepper. The amber, Irish red and blonde were our faves. The bartender was extremely kind and patient due to the fact we had 3 kiddos with us. Sad we couldn't collect a sticker from here but maybe we will get to come back some day.

Loved the atmosphere of the burgers beside the brewing company. The fried chips were good and the burger was juicy. It was a little pink. I would have preferred it well done .

Extremely friendly staff, deceptively comfortable wood chairs, beautiful tables and honestly, I just love the feel of the taproom. I get a kind of cabin + beach vibe, but without all the bugs and sand that mess things up.13th Meridian is a solid, solid milk stout, but I was especially surprised by their NEIPA, Mountain Hopshine (which I was informed is their most popular as mine kicked the current keg halfway through the pour). I don't often rate beers higher than a 4 on Untappd, but this one exceeded that for me.If you're a beer fan visiting Black Mountain, definitely make this a stop.

Placed our order online. Checked in, and we're told to wait for a text. One hour after checking, we got our food, and everything was cold! They di not deserve a scind chance.

We stopped here after eating at the restaurant across the street. The area has quite a few breweries and cool places to check out. We decided to stop in before heading back to our hotel. The interior is pretty basic with a bar to the left as you enter and seating to the right. There is outside seating some covered and some uncovered. I walked up to the bar and ordered one of their IPA's and my wife and I took a seat inside. There were definitely some locals sitting at the the table next to us. My wife and I chatted and look around a bit. The interior was nothing special, just a hangout place. There was a little bit of swag behind the bar. It appears they have about 13 of there own beers on tap. My beer was good but nothing significant. Overall it was a nice stop and a good experience but they really need something more. It kind of left us wanting. Maybe we visited on an off night. We would probably not come back.

The best burger in Black Mountain hands down!Service is very friendly, causal and laid back. Do yourself a favor and get the Mac's burger. Carolina style burger with mustard, chili, onion, and slaw. And get the onion rings! Little known secret, when the shop itself closes in the afternoon they man a food truck in Lookout Brewery's parking lot and serve from there. Black Mountain's hidden gem!

Great little local dive with great burgers and excellent French fries. Friendly and fun. Great service from the owners/cooks behind the counter. A few tables and chairs indoors; picnic tables and patio furniture on the deck.

Awesome burgers cheese steaks, wraps, and hand cut fries. Will definitely stop here again.

Great burger cooked well with perfect chips! My husband wanted the cheesesteak without onions so he sautéed the peppers by themselves just for him!

We enjoyed our lunch here at Mac's. I've been wanting try them for awhile now but the limited hours I haven't been able to make it. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak which was good although for the price I think it could've had more meat. I did wished they offered some extras like banana peppers to the sandwich. My hubby had patty melt and enjoyed that as well. He got chili cheese fries which were yummy as well and I liked their homemade chips.Overall everything was fresh made and delicious. I would suggest getting there early as we got there about 11:30 and only 1 other table but the place is small and filled up quickly after we ordered.

We ordered three burgers. One was plain with just ketchup. One was a plain bacon cheeseburger (bacon is an add-on). The third burger was a regular burger. All of the meals were to come with fries. Only one did, so we had to share. The meal ended up costing nearly $60. How? Not sure. But, we were first time customers and thought the bags we were given would have the proper food. This was not a complicated order. Lastly, I'll leave you with a picture of the bacon that was added on to my burger (the cheeseburger was loaded with all the toppings despite the request for it to be plain, so some excavating for bacon had to be undertaken). Don't be shocked if it's hard to find.
