“When I was a teenager I grew up hanging out by the original Hot Dog on a Stick in Santa Monica California. Even though their Lemonade are still awesome there is no lemonade here. This Mochi Place in the HMart food court has taken the Hot Dog and Cheese on a stick to a whole other level. Instead of cornmeal they have stuff like Hot Cheetos or Crispy Ramon or Potato and you can get a 1/2 Hot Dog 1/2! Cheese even though because of personal dietary issues I went with the Cheese. It's really good dipped in ketchup. Really big snack worth the money before you go shopping so you don't shop hungry! I'm glad I tried it becomes popular“

Two Entrees Combo Plate

“Legit Chinese/Taiwainese noodle soup at the mall? For real? YES, FOR REAL. Having lived in NYC for many decades, I was very spoiled by my seemingly "next door" access to authentic Chinese/Taiwanese food and, more specifically, noodle soups. On those cold, wintry days, it was my go-to entree and not much can substitute for those hot, tasty broths, noodles and meats. Anyway, for the size of this state, possibly the best Chinese noodle soup served in town might very well be at the mall! Yes, it's going to be a dollar or two overpriced, but beggars absolutely cannot be choosers. Most customers at the mall come here really just for the Americanized Chinese food that is generously served here in gargantuan, fully packed takeout boxes - fried rice, noodles, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chicken w/ broccoli, barbecue chicken, General Tso's chicken, etc., etc., etc. However, no offense to Yong Kang Street, but, I wasn't here for any of that greasy food because, honestly, you can get that ANYWHERE. We ended up ordering the Roast Duck Noodle Soup and Wonton Noodle Soup, both of which were actually made to order as I watched the lady put the super duper hot bowl together. The bowl was actually so hot that even 1.5 hours after I got home, the soupy bowl was still piping hot! Anyhow, the noodle soup was surprisingly delicious. The noodles were a bit soft, but the broth was very flavorful without being overly salty. There was some Chinese Broccoli and chopped up scallions in the noodle soups and they really added to the flavor of the entree. The meats were also very good. As we were eating, my question was - where does this place find their duck?!? Because it was pretty good duck meat. We also loved their pork wontons as well. Typically, the wontons served with noodle soups are made with pork and shrimp, but it was just pork here...and, well, it worked! The wontons were very delicious and well put together. Never would I have thought a small mall vendor would serve some of the best noodle soup in the area, but Yong Kang does. Goes to show you that you never know where good food might be hiding, so always give new places a try. As for us, we DEFINITELY found our new noodle soup go to spot.“

“My family and I decided to dine at the Northend Food Hall last Friday, following a friend's recommendation. Despite the crowd, mainly families with young children, and the noise, we eventually secured a table for four. Our orders included birria tacos and Mexican Elote from La Chula Taqueria, a burger with fries from Harlem Public, and a Dominican pizza from the renowned Wahizza. The food surpassed our expectations; my son particularly enjoyed the birria tacos and Mexican Elote. Personally, I found nostalgia in the Dominican Pizza, reminiscent of my childhood in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, my wife indulged in a frozen margarita from the bar, thoroughly relishing it. Overall, our dining experience exceeded expectations, and we're eager to return and explore more culinary delights.“

“We are always ordering from here and the food is great. I always get the Falafel salad with a side of Zatar fries. Their chicken platter and shawarma sandwich are also very good. Prices went up a little since they opened up but still a good value compared to other restaurants in the mall.“
