“While known for the fish - specialty of this restaurant is THE VIEW.Cant beat the view.I was here once for a holiday party - ordered filet mignon - didnt like it.too salty.Was here last week for a business dinner - great atmosphere. Great service but prices dont justify the food quality. I had king salmon - it was ok. Wasnt bad but nothing that i havent had before.Mashed potatoes were great. Everyone loved drinks and desert.So verdict - if all you want is a tasty piece of meat or fish - go elsewhere.You want a venue with the view and great upscale atmosphere ? You are on a date? This is definitely the place!!!Parking: Some spots are available if you arrive early but dont bank on it. But valet is available“

“We were celebrating our anniversary with a family member and our server Amanda (?) was great! Wished us happy anniversary, put little hearts on the table and brought a small plate of sample dessert after our meal. Our food was cooked perfectly, we were not rushed at all and a great time was had by all!“

“The restaurant has a cozy ambiance BUT the staff (waiter) treated my fiancé and I as if we were a bother to him. I watched him work the room and service all of the white people with a more positive and attentive attitude. Besides that the food was very good and so were the drinks. If it were not for him I would say 10/10 but I have them a 7/10.“

“The Highwood is excellent. Great service, great food, and amazing atmosphere. The bar is equipped with great TVs & skilled bartenders serving great drinks. The spinach & artichoke dip or the shrimp cocktail is always a great starter. I had the riverside chicken with risotto for dinner and it was delicious. I recommend trying the tiramisu for dessert, one of the best in NJ.“
