Looks like a total dump of a bodega at first glance but they have freaking delicious mexican restaurant in the back! Get the “tacos placeros”. Only place in nyc i have ever seen them on a menu ... theyre huge and delicious!
I found this place on Google maps just searching for a quick bite to eat on our way to prospect park. It looked like a bodega when you walked in, but the restaurant is actually in the back.We were seated and given menus right away by a waitress, even though the restaurant was buzzing with movement because of the bustle of the lunch rush.The waitress was patient as I practiced my Spanish while ordering. This place is super bueno. I recommend the tacos, sopes con carne, tortas, and of course the chips and guac. Their food is made with love! Very good burrito. Order was on time. I also had the mole de callo soup, it was good but i need to try the pozole.
