“Customer service was super amazing!!! Friend ordered the wrong item and the staff was super helpful on getting what he wanted. The blue cheese burger was cooked perfected on a super delicious bun. Fries were cooked perfectly and some of the best fries I’ve had at an airport. The buffalo wings were super spicy but had such an amazing flavor that it may be one of the best wings I’ve had ever. Not for the faint of heart but definitely a must try for those that can handle a bit of heat. If I’m traveling out of JFK, I’ll be coming here every time!“

“I love this place. I went for brunch with a couple friends and got the bottomless Mimosa option. Drinks were flowing, food was delicious, and the service was phenomenal. I still recommend the tres leches french toast. Don't forget to mix your mimosa flavors like cranberry and pineapple. I recommend for a weekend brunch.“

“We arrived and were seated immediately. The servers were professional and courteous. They answered questions and were patient while we decided. The appetizer and the food came quickly but not unreasonably so. They seemed to have the timing down. We had fish tacos which were good, but not exceptional. I had a steak which was delicious and cooked as ordered. The twice baked potato was so so. It didn't match the quality of my steak or vegetables. My wife had a simple beet salad which h she enjoyed. Bill came quickly when requested. We will return again.“

“Great dive bar right next to the 30th St subway stop. When my friends and I noticed they had $3 PBRs, we were sold. Bartender also gave us a buyback on our 3rd beer! Too bad they didn't serve any food though. Very mixed crowd of all ages. They have bands on weekends sometimes and I noticed they had a sign indicating live Bluegrass Sundays. If they ever got a jukebox that only played Irish and bluegrass music, then I would give them 5 stars. But, had to take away a star for the crappy music some people were playing on the jukebox.“

“The staff is friendly, the food is good and a sizable portion. The bar staff is always more than willing to give the customers the remote so they can change the channels to watch a game or show. They also approach the customers and ask if they would like a particular style of music to be played.“

“Went with friends to catch the Mets game. Lots of fun games to play, like connect four and ringtoss. Staff was attentive and came to the table often to get our food and drink orders. The piña colada was so creamy and delicious. Not what you'd expect at a sports bar!“

“Love this beautiful restaurant that gives sexy upscale, Amazon vibes. The greenery decor and black wall were stunning. It’s a large location with plenty of perfect seating available. It was raining when we visited so we sat inside for brunch from 1pm until 4pm. Our waitress was very pleasant friendly and tentative. Brunch is great with timed mimosas or sangrias included in their $34.99 deal. The portions I will say are small for sharing so order your own food.“

“Raxx Pool Hall in West Hempstead, NY was so much fun and exactly what I needed on a Friday night!The staff was super friendly and the DJ was dope. The music created a whole vibe for the whole night. I really didn't expect for their food to be so good being that its a pool hall. The wings were good but the onion rings were the best onion rings I've had anywhere.I'm definitely going back to play pool because I had a good time but trust me you want to try their wings and onion rings! They have a lot of drink selections as well so just check the place out!“

“Great local spot with fantastic cocktails. There's a ton of bars in this area, so it's easy to overlook this place. My friend who lives in the area wanted to give it a try, so we decided to meet there. On a Friday night, the bar was crowded with locals. There isn't a ton of tables, but we were able to get a small one in the front. The lone bartender did an amazing job holding down the entire place. He came over to give suggestions and take our orders. I got the pornstar martini, but was scared it would be too sweet. I was wrong! It was one of the most balanced cocktails I've ever had. My husband loved his boulevardier. We wanted to stay for another round, but had dinner plans. (Only con: they don't serve food.) We will definitely be returning!“

“We had the VFW in Astoria booked for a celebration of life for my mom and brother. We waited and waited and no one showed up to let us in. A crowd began to gather and still no word from the VFW. My wife and sister searched the area and stumbled up The Local. They explained our situation and the bartender was more than accommodating. We were able to use the outside area which was quite spacious and bring our own food!!! All they asked was that we bought some drinks(which were amazing!!!) I will definitely visit the Local whenever I'm in Astoria!!!“

“My friends and coworkers have come for years especially for the Tuesday wing special. I’ve recently moved east and found that the biggest barrier to meeting up with friends was that parking in the neighborhood was really spotty. On the last trek out, I found out that the owner was able to procure a lot halfway down 50th street. You just have to grab a little postcard placard from the restaurant and put it on the dash. You do have to be out by 11 or you’ll be locked in so be mindful when the game goes into overtime/extra innings.The Tuesday wing special is still the best. Kitty is greatest and always makes people feel at home. Their food is great and the owner is so friendly.“

“A group of us went to celebrate a birthday and the staff was so accommodating, from the DJ booth with the bday shout out to the sparkle candle & free shot from the bar. We were only there for 2 hrs & it was awesome. The DJ was blasting hits and the bartender, Lauren was so attentive. We didn't order any food but the service & atmosphere was great. “I used a Groupon for my meal and the only issue I had it was NOT written in the fine print you can not use the Groupon for BRUNCH. I brought it to the hostess attention and she pulled out an in-house menu that says no Groupon. What good is that gonna do if you don't know ahead of time? IDK Needless to say, I had to wait an hour until the BRUNCH time was over. Other thank that! The food and service was excellent.“

“What a wonderful experience for this 1st time ever visitor to Yankee Stadium. My 93-year-old Father In Law was honored as the Veteran of the Game this day. 10 of us came early to Yankee Stadium and the first place we stopped was to have lunch at this establishment. They greeted us with a huge smile and had a table set up for our reservations. Stephanie was our main server(there were several to keep the food and drinks coming). The orders were all spot on and the food and drinks were delicious. At one point, the Manager came over with a microphone and introduced our Father In Law as the Veteran of the Game to a huge round of applause from everyone in the Hard Rock. It was a great start to what turned out to be a special and perfect evening!“

“I attended a baby shower here on Sunday afternoon. The entire experience was great. O'Neill's, although a sports bar/ restaurant is a great venue for a private party. The staff was attentive and the food was de-lish. I will definitely go back to have dinner.“
