We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it”

One of my foodie friends and I decided to meet up. We always try to go to a new place that we both haven't tried - and we ended up here at Suzuki Shokudo. I tried the following: - Takoyaki (Octopus Balls) - Salmon Chirashi Dinner - Uni Sashimi My friend ordered an entree and also tried their Blue Fin Tuna. All of the food was delicious and super fresh. Service, food, and ambiance were authentically Japanese! Definitely worth a trip if you're in the Long Island City / Queens area. My friend ordered extra food for dinner for her boyfriend. My friend and her boyfriend went back to eat there a week later. NOM NOM NOM. ENJOY!!”

“Lemak Kitchen is a ghost kitchen, serving the most incredible Malay food from a warehouse space on the outskirts of LIC.The exceptional food is well seasoned with generous portions. I had a seafood curry, which had shrimp, clams, mussels, and tofu, two kinds of egg noodles, and bean sprouts in an overflowing bowl of awesome. The curry was mildly spicy. Only complaint was that the noodles were under salted, which is so very minor. Everything was packed very well, surviving a subway ride with no mishaps.The weird: Lemak is located in the industrial section of town. There is no retail and if you're walking alone, you may be uncomfortable. When you get to the loading dock, which is thankfully well labeled, you have to walk down a long hallway with automatic lighting to find the kitchen. There's no seating, no restroom, no ADA compliance. The tasty is reserved only for the brave of heart and utmost devotees of deliciousness.The cook tonight (Salama?) was very kind, and had my order completed in 15 minutes even though the website said 40 minutes. Yay!”

Off the bat, it's much smaller (6-8 tables) and is more meant for takeout orders. The menus are similar, if not exactly the same. We started off with the Bolani Kachalu which was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned nicely. The menu says this is "served with our homemade garlic mint yogurt sauce" which we didn't receive. The Mixed Afghan Kabab is my go-to whenever I'm here. The chicken kabab and beef kofta were delicious - super tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The lamb kabab was a bit tougher and lacked flavor. The portion of rice was also drastically less than the Astoria location. I never had the Chicken Korma Chalao before but it was a great warm dish to have on a cold day. The stew was made with tomatoes and onions, and the chicken was falling apart - unbelievably tender! What I didn't appreciate is that there is a 20% tip added automatically for parties of 2 or more. I would understand if this was a rule for large parties or if our waiter checked on us which he didn't aside from bringing us the food. I think they should reconsider this added fee or limit it to large parties. This review should be a 3.5, but I'll go with a 4 considering it was still a decent meal but I wouldn't come back to this location.”

If you're like me and you're a trivia fan, this is your place on Fridays at 8pm (grab a seat early, cause it gets busy if you want to be in the front). The trivia is fun, staff is pretty on top of things, and its all good drinks and vibes. I haven't had the food here so I can't say much to that, but the general vibe here is fun and I look forward to coming back. I've passed by this bar a few times and see Drag Queens in there so I assume they have some Drag comedy nights here, which sound like fun to me!”

The prices are inexpensive and great for a quick lunch or dinner. It's more of a deli not a restaurant!”

Every time I go there, I order everything so mouthwatering that I want to order for three or four people. Very professional personalities are great there. Everyone who works there is exemplary. Kate is very down-to-earth, warmhearted, and friendly to everyone she needs. They get the orders done as soon as possible, especially for all of those working people that go there that have only so much time for lunch.Her business has expanded to one of the colleges in the area. Oh, to top it all, she does catering. Yes, did I tell you she also has a food truck? And to top it all, she does catering. She can do it all. “Ok as a resident of this area for 15 years, this place on 31st Ave btw 37 and 38 has turned over so many times, especially in the past 5 years. Jaguar is BY FAR the best all-around winner of any restaurant that's been there. Great food, great vibes, great staff, beautiful backyard area. Vegan/GF options available. The owner came over to say hi and check on us, and he was so friendly and clearly passionate about creating a welcoming place with fantastic food. There were like 6 things on the menu I wanted to order, but I can personally vouch for a fantastic waffle and the unique salad my fiancé had. I'm not really a bar goer, but the server told me they also have a cool vibe at night with a DJ. Please come show support so I don't lose my new favorite spot!”

There are places to sit with tables however, it gets very busy and packed if you decide to dine in. Enjoy their special offer 30% opening discount if you go in during May 10 to June 6, 2024.
