“This place is a slice of nostalgia for me. The inside is very much a bar, which is why they serve (and specialize) in bar pie. Service has always been decent, nothing to complain about, but nothing stand-out either. The pizza is thin and crispy. It eats light, even with toppings. My favorite topping is probably their meatball, which they thinly slice. It goes great with their sauce. Don't get me wrong though, a regular cheese pie is great too. It's also only 270 calories. You can't really beat that. There's some debate over whether it's been open since the 30's or 40's. No matter how you look at it, it's been around for a long time and a long time for a reason, a very solid bar pie.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! We even asked for an extra birthday cupcake for our nephew to have on the day of the wedding, and they made it sooo cute! (wish I could figure out how to add a picture here... It was SO pretty!!!)“

“Nice place, but waaaaaaaay over priced. $6 for carrots ? they're definitely taking advantage of the affluent neighborhood. Bought a small apple pie ($23) and it tasted good but it's like a jiffy pop popcorn, obnoxiously high crust so you can't cut a slice cleanly, definitely can NOT serve this to guests, impossible to plate (see pics) also a small 6" zucchini bread ($8.95) it was good.“

“We've been regular customers of Front Street Bakery since we moved to RVC. We love walking to the bakery with our dogs, getting a snack and a coffee (their iced coffee has coffee iced cubes, which is such a nice touch), so for our small wedding we called and asked if they could bake our wedding cake.Well, as this photo hopefully suggests, they did an incredible job. Cat was so unbelievably kind and helpful and responsive in working with me to design our dream cake. It was reasonably priced, designed perfectly and was utterly delicious. We ate it for days afterward and it was still so good. If you need a special occasion cake, definitely consider Front Street!“

“Had an amazing time there as the owner is so personable and aims to have a “small cafe in Connecticut kind of feel” which I definitely got. She really works to personalize your orders and is willing to try new recipes. “To start, they seat you with a tray of tortilla chips and 2 types of dipping sauces which were both flavorful and delicious. First we ordered the loaded plantain, then for tacos we got the cauliflower, chicharron and shrimp and we got the chicken burrito bowl and chicharron burrito bowl, all delicious. Shipped when expected order was just delayed a couple days because of massive USPS delays before the Christmas holiday. They even threw in some nice chocolates that was a nice perk and not expected. “Second time ordering here and this time ordered Chicken Bruschetta -perfectly crispy chicken cutlet on top of a light salad with balsamic vinegar, topped with bruschetta (they were not cheap with it). Delicious!! Along with it I also had capellini with meat sauce (you know it's good sauce when you find a bay leaf in there).
