Bright Side ruined by birthday brunch this past weekend. Let’s start with the worst of it. I brought an expensive cake from Wild Flour that I was told was fine to bring. They tried to charge a $30 cake fee that I was NOT told about, but ended up waiving it after I brought it up. But then, when I asked the waitress to bring the cake back to the table… they had CUT IT UP already. It had a beautiful design I paid alot of money for and I wanted to photograph it and sing Happy Birthday like normal people. WTF.. I am still so mad about this… who cuts the cake up??? No restaurant has ever done this. Now, on top of this, they offer “vegan” options. I only picked this place for that reason. My sister is vegan and I see her sitting with no food and she tells me our waitress says the only thing that’s vegan are the salads. WTF… so now my sister is ordering food from Town Hall across the street because Bright Side’s menu is deceiving. Lastly, I wanted to take pictures downstairs, which was advertised online, but of course, they said no because it was closed. To just take some pictures!!!!!! Omg I will avidly tell people not to go here now because they ruined my birthday celebration, which I was looking forward to after being sick over the last two months and finally starting to recover. This restaurant does not care about customer service, and I wouldn’t go here to celebrate anything—especially if you have a cake.
