“The food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the salt and pepper squid, potsticker, spicy wontons, beef chow fun and fries pork chops today for dine in! Omg this food is authentic Cantonese, and I would know be cause I'm half Chinese and spent most of my childhood in San Francisco Chinatown with my grandmother. I took my husband and nephew and we loved every single bite! HUGE portions for your money and I took half my meal home!! Don't think about it, just go!!“

Brings me back to China The atmosphere is minimal, a little cold in the winter, and only 1 waitress but the flavor more than makes up for it!I recommend getting 3 dishes from the family style section per 2 people; you'll have leftovers. “I have ate here a few times and it has not been disappointing either time it does not cost very much even alittle cheaper then getting a combo meal from a fast food restaurant about $10 bucks so that's not bad at all I got sesame chicken which happens to be my favorite whenever I do Chinese anywhere the food was nice and hot it was good I for got to get a can of soda but I paid already the women working the counter gave me one on the house which was awesome I appreciated that and thanked her for doing that they were busy at the time I do recommend stopping in the food is good and the workers are very nice“

“I really like this place. It's a old school Chinese restaurant. Old school fried rice with egg too! I tried 2 combos my first time. The chicken teriyaki was excellent and the egg Foo young was kinda bland and the gravy was orange and weird looking. It was my guy friends food so I didn't take a picture of it but he wasn't too please cause he thought it had cheese in the gravy lol but I had no complaints with my food. And I will definitely be back to try other stuff too!“

“Well there prices have gone WAY up but on top of that on the weekends they want to charge you an additional 18% they say there open until 9pm I was there at 810 pm the doors were locked what a bunch of lies I dove 43 miles for that but rest assured going back will be hard because I went to Boo Long up the street what a pleasant surprise they also close at 9pm but welcomed me in at 835 been going to Me Wah and king Wah for YEARS but am now rethinking it“

“You can't beat the lunch combination meal. You get lots of awesome food and soup for $8.99. Everyone enjoyed their food. We all had something different. My daughter had Orange Chicken, hubby had Egg Foo Young and I had the Pepper Steak. My steak and green pepper was SO tender. All meals come with Fried Rice. We all had Wonton Soup. Plus we purchased an order of Spring Rolls. I had so much food I had leftovers for the next day.“

“This place literally never disappoints. My husband and I order from here regularly and every single item I’ve ordered has been amazing. The honey chicken is both of our favorites though and is something not found on a lot of Chinese menus. This has become our regular Chinese restaurant at this point. I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could. My only complaint is that they’re not open everyday although that’s probably a good thing for my waistline.“

“We went for dinner yesterday- everything was fresh and delicious, especially the sesame chicken and meat on a stick!! Our server Sophie was incredibly attentive and kind, very positive. The restaurant was soothing and clean, the wait was incredibly short and the portions so nice and filling. Will be going back for both dine in and takeout again!!“

The crab Rangoon, while being the traditionally made fun of small triangle style, were the best i've ever had from anywhere. The general tso chicken was the perfect amount of spice, and the beef lol mein was perfect. The best finish to this meal of perfection was the wonton soup. Perfect finish to a perfect meal. Came super quick, and driver was a delight and super friendly. Absolutely recommend, and this is my new go to place.“

“My family has gone to Hunan East for probably 20 years. Even though we go less often now, the owners still recognize us and are very welcoming. The food on the Chinese menu is consistently excellent, and they have some dishes that are hard to find in the area. Some of our faves are the peapod tofu, chicken with sour vegetable, cumin lamb, garlic eggplant, and chicken buns. They have also been very flexible with vegetarian options and adjusting things for a FODMAP diet for Crohn's. While we miss being able to dine in, I'm glad to see the business remains successful with takeout.Be aware that near holidays they can get extremely busy. We've had good luck calling a little earlier in the day for a big order and letting them know a few hours in advance.“

“We have ordered from here for the last 22 years and never had a problem with the food, or the service.We order at least 3 times a month.Not including from my job that is on Rockside Rd. (Literally right up the street from here)Alot of my fellow co-workers order different meals at least once a week and I pick it up for them on my way to work..they buy my dinner for picking theirs up..win-win!!??Love the won ton soup..more than China kitchen 1 or 2 on Turney. This place puts 8-10 won tons in their large soup!!...not 5-6 at the other 2 places I've mentioned.Also, there are just the woman and husband that have been there to run the place and they do a damn good job too!They don't speak English clearly because they are making authentic CHINESE FOOD...After all this..we getting Chinese for dinner today..we ARE HUNGRY!!??“

“A small hole in the wall that's been around a while. The food is made fresh and is decent. It's what I'd call belly stuffer food. Big portions, decent taste and very reasonably. We get take out anytime we're in the area.“

The quantity was more than I could eat and should have some left over for tomorrow. “The noodle soup that I ordered was good and tasty! But it didn't fill me up :-( but to be fair, I did go very hungry. It was kinda weird that I received the noodles and sides (part of my noodle order) separately than my soup bowl - almost a 10 min difference. The servers and all the employees were really nice. As a side note, the first thing I thought after getting my soup is "dog bowl" haha.“

“My girlfriend & I opted to dine via take out from Richie Chan's. She has been eating here since she returned to Cleveland two decades ago & raves about it all the time. We decided to order take out for Valentine's Day & it was fast service with generous & delicious portions. They only take cash but it's very inexpensive for the quality & quantity of food you receive. We got wonton soup, shrimp with vegetables & steamed dumplings & it was enough for two meals each for both of us! We also got organic navel oranges, fortune cookies & almond cookies as a gift (I think this may have been part of the Valentine's Day) The food was so good, we ate it before we could take photos but my girlfriend's fortune cookie says it all...wonderful food for a romantic evening. We will continue to return here. Richie Chan is the main cook & his wife, Wai, helps with food prep & takes all the orders & transactions. They are so nice & friendly it feels like your favorite aunt & uncle just invited you over for dinner. Having lived in PRC, I can attest to the genuine taste of their Cantonese, Hunanese, Mongolian & Mandarin dishes. It is also a true bargain for what you will receive.Vegetarian options: Nearly every style of Chinese food has vegetarian options except for Cashew, Cantonese Omelette, Mongolian & General Too dishes but there is plenty to choose out of the remaining entrees, appetizers & selections.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is at street level with wide enough doors to accommodate wheelchairs.“

“Wow! I haven't been here since the new owner took over - what a difference! I liked their food before, but omg, every bite I took I found myself telling my husband how amazing the flavor was! Everything is just a little bit "extra". It was "extra" enough that I ran over here to wrote a review before I forgot. Mind you, it costs quite a bit more, so it's but something I could afford on the weekly for my family of 4, but I'll sure be trying to make it here at least once a month“
