Edwin's and it's related businesses appear to be the lifeblood of Shaker Square. From the moment we entered Edwin's and throughout our visit, we were treated like royalty. Our primary server, Victor, made sure every detail of our experience was thoughtfully considered and accommodated. He showed great balance in his craft by being present when we wanted but not over bearing. The food was beautifully prepared, at optimal temperature and timely. The atmosphere was a bit more formal than we generally see, however still welcoming and friendly. My wife and I very much enjoyed Edwin's and highly recommend it.

Edwin's staff did fantastic! My fiancé had a perfect birthday celebration all thanks to their hospitality, food quality, timeliness and thoughtfulness. I highly recommend dining at Edwin's and we look forward to coming back in the near future.

The only reason food is only a 4 star for this particular visit is because it was obvious the owner was not there. The foie gras I order regularly was super tiny and came out on toast points that were as big as biscuits instead of thin like toast points, and my fillet was way overcooked and also came out sitting on top of what looked like a giant biscuit. Nails, this is one of our favorite places to eat and will be back soon!

Took my wife here for her birthday. While we really don't seek out French food, we heard the place was good. We were absolutely blown away by the creativity and flavor of our dishes! The Nicoise salad was incredible! Entrees were amazing as well and we finished with the table side banannas foster. We got to watch the pressed duck next to us. Definitely a 'must go' place!! I took off a couple points as our server (we could tell he was new) barely said 10 words to us the entire dinner and had no knowledge of the menu or drinks. He was a little nervous I think. We kinda had server-envy as we could see some others were really engaging other patrons. We'll be back with a table full of friends to share next time!

The hype for this place must be sustained by guilt. The food was passable but not exciting or executed with much inspiration or skill. The service is, quite simply, terrible. We waited 30 minutes for bread and staff to take our order and it was only happenstance that one of the servers noticed our closed menus and empty table and asked if we wanted bread while we waited. The time between courses was excessive as well. We had to ask for our bread plates, which had to be used for appetizers because no others were provided, to be cleared. I won’t enumerate further the many failings in service and understand this is supposedly a training restaurant but more training is sorely needed. The atmosphere was loud, as in the guests at the adjacent table were literally shouting at each other, all while discordant 80s pop was played too loud over the cacophony of dinner conversation. This was not a fine dining experience even though it was priced as such. Do not recommend and would not return.

This place is seriously overrated in my opinion. The food was average. We had three gourmet dinners in Cleveland, this was the worst. The service was slow and sloppy. Lastly, the restaurant was LOUD and oh so warm!!!Definitely do not recommend. Definitely will not be back.

Putting aside the incredible mission this place has, the food was amazing. The shared duck was delicious, the grouper was cooked perfectly! And the cocktails were great. Some minor hiccups, mostly around pacing, but this is a training establishment. If I lived in the area this would be a top go to place.

Edwin's never fails to exceed our expectations. We dined on a Tuesday evening and to our surprise the patio was open! It was beautiful and quiet out there, only a couple other tables sat outside. Our group of 3 felt like it was our official start of our outdoor dining season. Our server was fabulous, food and drinks were delicious. We had the bread pudding for dessert, three of us shared it and it was out of this world. Fantastic evening at Edwin's, as usual!

Our server had a great deal of difficulty understanding or remembering our orders! Fortunately others seemed to recognize this and pitched in. Our main courses were not put in but when a young woman (floor manager?)recognized this , they were immediately cooked and a desert was compted. As we were not in a hurry and understood the mission of the establishment, we would not hesitate to return. food was superb!! And worth waiting for ☺️

This restaurant was wonderful. The wait staff were impeccable and the food divine. Best meal we had in Cleveland. We also love the values that guide this restaurant. A real treat to be a part of it.

Excellent service! Beautiful space! We enjoyed our dinners; we started with the lobster bisque which was delicious. I had the duck & risotto. My husband had the rabbit with roasted potatoes & braised fennel. Both were very tasty. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert which was perfectly creamy. So happy that we found Edwins while we were in Cleveland for the eclipse! Great food & great to support their mission.

This is one of the loveliest restaurants I have been to! The ambiance was perfect, very French, and the waitstaff friendly and accommodating without being oppressive. The food was FANTASTIC, and there were vegan options. We had artichoke hearts, escargot and frogs's legs as appetizers and the frog's legs were so tender- they melted in your mouth under the perfectly fried batter. For dinner we had vegan gnocchi, duck leg and venison, all perfect. For dessert we had Grand Marnier soufflé and crème brûlée, a perfect ending. The cocktails were creative, yummy and potent. We had theater reservations and our waiter made sure we were done on time. We ate early, and it wasn't crowded, but I hope they get busier as the evening goes on because they deserve to be bustling! I would love to return here next time I'm in Cleveland.

I cannot speak enough to how much I like this restaurant. Brandon is doing amazing work not just in his food and the quality of it, but in his restoration of human dignity. The food is fantastic. The staff is awesome. Brandon is always there to greet you I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant.
