This place is a hidden gem. Sandwiches are amazing! Don’t get scared off by the appearance. I recommend the pastrami and turkey with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and mustard!

I ordered a chicken Philly and it was not even cooked it was so cold all he did was put some cut up pieces of chicken from a salad or something and put them on a sub then drowned it with peppers and a little bit of cheese HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

This post is one of great concern, first let me say that the employees at Jacks have been nice, very nice and pleasant, but what I purchased was not, well half of the purchase. I purchased a steak standwhich when I got home it was roast beef, I thought no big deal because I like roast beef, the sandwhich looked amazing, I heated up the sandwhich because by the time I got home and I reside across town far from Jakes, I cut the sandwhich in half and took a bite, the meat smelled and taste spoiled, the pickles were not fresh either they were flimsy and tasted aweful, I have eaten their food before and it has always been amazing but not this time. I also went next door and got some pizza. They charge $3.99 for a slice of pizza but was selling two slices for $6.00, the pizza was delicious but it made me sick, That has never happened before. There is a problem with meat everywhere. Most of the meat in resturants and stores being sold is spoiled, so many things are not natural foods anymore ... Its lab created specimens. I have no ill feelings towares jakes as I said they have always seem to be very friendly and efficients but the prices are way overpriced... the food is not what it use to be... I wish Jakes all the best.... but the deli meats and hot meats being sold... for me ... Never again... I hope that Jakes would make changes... Serve the same foods that you would serve your own family... and not sell something that you definitely would not eat... I can mix greek yogurt with self rising flour to make pie crust and purchase fresh toppings from gordons foods... Some folks are going to lose customers over bad quality in foods that they are serving like preparing and then still selling spoiled foods, meats or vegetables... It only takes one time for me to have one bad experience and that will cause me to never spend nor shop at a business again... Again I wish them well but for me Jakes is a no no...

Really amazing Reuben sandwich and friendly workers. It reminds me of my favorite bodega in New York City and was one of the few lunch spots open on Saturday in the area where I could get my hands on some classic Cleveland corned beef. The sandwich was loaded with very lean corned beef and had just the right amount of 1000 island dressing. They also had really good pickles served along side of the sandwich but I wish I ordered extra after tasting how yummy they were. Fair pricing and quick service. Quick walk from the arcade where I easily found a peaceful warm place to sit and eat my lunch.

I ordered turkey bacon on a bagel and was given turkey lunch meat without being told. I ordered a cinnamon bagel with cream cheese and was given a plain bagel with cream cheese. If you don't have what I ask for, be honest and tell me. I don't like deception of any kind. Thank you.

I love the donuts, sweets, drinks, and sandwich options. Wish they'd bring back the fries. Also, wish the salads were chopped up finely since the big veggies make it a bit harder to eat.
