“Food was really good. Filet mignons were cooked to perfection. We were celebrating a birthday and the manager stopped by to congratulate us and implied we'd be getting a complimentary dessert, but that didn't happen. The server was overly chatty, and should cut back on the little jokes he thought were cute or funny (they weren't and detracted from the ambiance).“

“Love this breakfast brunch joint! There are reasons why it is voted best breakfast joint in the DFW area! It is great and haven't had a bad meal. Portions are huge so be prepared to chow down. Their French toast and their pancake selection are an absolute delight. Come in with a nice appetite and trust me, you will not be disappointed.“

“First time at the Grapevine location, usually stop in Plano. Food was just as good, service was fast and friendly. Smaller dining room, but same vibe as other locations. French Dip Taco was great, the horseradish sauce and fried onions were a solid complement for the prime rib and Chipotle au jus.Vegetarian options: Separate menu of vegetarian options, the Fried Paneer Taco is one of my favorites period. Not as lengthy as the non-veg options.“

“I was having a bad day & the owner was just so kind when I needed it the most. He gave me complimentary taro rolls. The establishment is clean and well kept, even though it was super busy they were super professional and explained what was going on. They had friendly energy & educated me on different foods to try! I had to leave a review bc not only was the food phenomenonal the ppl matched it! I will be back & bringing friends!“

“I go to Tolbert's for the live music most every weekend. They bring in classic 70's tribute rock (Pink Floyd, Rush, Tom Petty ilks) and pop (Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, ilks) and the evening is fantastic. Fast service, great bar food for late night, great proximity to the bands.....plus dance floor if you are so inclined.“
“Always a great experience at Messina Hof!Of course, that’s not a surprise given the great staff at this Grapevine winery.Let’s start with Dan. More than likely you’re going to find this friendly fellow working the front counter. Cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable, and engaging, he is sure to make your wine selection experience a positive one! Then there is Taylor. Often she is out of sight making the delicious food options you’ll find on their menu. If fate leans in your favor, she may be the one who brings your order to your table. Be sure to engage in conversation for just a minute or two. What a fascinating person!Third on my list is Cara. You’ll have to look far and wide to find someone whose default position is more customer forward than her. When you add to that her natural ability to communicate on just about any topic, how can your visit not be memorable if she is around! Finally, there is Addie. Often you’ll see her work long before you talk to her. Her BEAUTIFUL handwriting can often be found on the chalkboards announcing many of the upcoming events at this location. And if that isn’t enough (spoiler alert), this person is, once again, all about making the customers feel comfortable. If she can make something happen to make your visit a happy one, that’s exactly what she’s going to do!Clearly the management team at Messina Hof knows how to hire!I cannot recommend enough heading on over to this Main Street location when you want to have some “me time” with family or friends or even by yourself if a little self reflection is what you need!“

“This place came highly recommended by a friend and after reading reviews, our party of 9 was excited to try it. Apparently 2pm on a Tuesday is a challenging time to get great service at an upscale dining establishment. Our server/bar tender was defining put out by our table. She seemed frustrated at each request and definitely left something to be desired. The food was fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend the crab cake appetizer and the calamari. The apple galette dessert was the hit of our meal along with the salad and bread. I'm willing to give another try hoping for a better server. Great ambiance and atmosphere!!“

“This place had been on our radar for a while. We were walking around downtown Grapevine a few weeks ago and took a short detour from the south end of Main Street only to find out... they were closed because it was a Monday! *sad trombone*Anyway, we were there again today because my nerd son wanted to go to the Warhammer store and his nerd dad was only too happy to take him. Meanwhile, my decidedly-not-nerd wife remembered BreadHaus and so we made another quick detour and they were open! Hooray! If you're like me and bakeries instantly put you in your happy place, then run-don't-walk to BreadHaus. This place is a German-style bakery par excellence! Lots of unique items to choose from, whether you want bread loaves or pies to bring home, or a simple streusel or Bavarian pretzel to munch on while you stroll downtown Grapevine! We were on a mission for the Bourbon Chocolate (Pecan) Pie and managed to snatch what I think was the last one. Also picked up a piece of their blueberry streusel and a chocolate mini-cake for the kids.Okay, you know how a lot of times, "Pecan pie" is just a glob of sugary sludge in a bland crust with a few pecans tossed on top? This is why we can't have nice things, people. Well let me introduce you to the most amazing and perfect and Pecanny pie ever. It was outstanding! The helpful worker at the counter let us know that their pies can stay out on the counter top "for up to two weeks" and we just laughed. Bless your heart, this pie won't last for two days. Amazing. If you look at the picture I've provided, you may also note that they sell their pies in glass pie dishes -- bring them back for a discount on your next pie! Brilliant! I don't know if it actually makes the pie taste better, but let's just assume that that's part of the magic. We will absolutely be back!“

“We love fresh good raw oysters and they always deliver in season along with everything else on the menu. Never had a bad experience, which is amazing! Service and cocktails are constantly good. It still remains one of my favorite seafood restaurants in the area. Celebrated our anniversary there today for lunch. Thank you Blythe and Isaac at the bar in Grapevine, TX“

“This could possibly be the best Italian restaurant in Texas. The food was excellent, and cooked to perfection. Albert, our waiter was very attentive and a delight. Our party was large, but he was spot on. The cheesecake was bliss. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I came here for a friend’s birthday dinner and really enjoyed my time here. Since it was a group dinner , there were a couple variety combinations we could pick from. I believe they require set menus for a certain size group. Price was about $98 for each person. With that said , it included appetizers, main dish , pasta & dessert. Starting off with the appetizers, the options were house salad & Focaccia bread. I absolutely loved the Focaccia bread , it’s one of the best bread appetizers I’ve have so I really highly recommend it. There were 4 options for the main dish & I went with the Chilean Sea Bass. The Sea Bass was so delicious & it had a bit of crab meat on top that made it even better. Desserts wise I went with the tiramisu. The serve was solid. They had private dining rooms if you need reservations for a small party. I think it was a solid deal for the price & the options. I would definitely come here again & would recommend the group set dinners for anyone that is interested!“
“A huge shout out to these guys for hosting our lil’ pop up! What a great outdoor space & cool vibe. Beertenders were super helpful and knowledgeable, loved all the pours I got to try! That peaches & cream sour is super unique - tart and fruity with a rich, creamy mouthfeel that still felt light on a hot, humid day. 11/10, would beer again!“

“This is the first place I go to when I arrive in Dallas. The food is alvermicelli. i load up on the rice and vermicelli's. Then I go for the gyro meat. Yum. The salad's are great. It's all you can eat, and I do take advantage of that and load up. This is my fav 5 in this area. A must.“

“Spent the first 10 minutes chatting with Larry at the counter and learning all about how they do their brisket. They cut back, waaaay back, on the salt in the rub because, "Salt just dries it out a peck." Flavor on the brisket is good. Pure smoke, beef, and nothing else. I've had plent of brisket where it's just rub, smoke, and that's it. I prefer a "simpler is better" approach. When he was cutting the brisket, Larry asked, "You wanit lean, or you wanna taste it?" Hell, I wanna taste it! It's tender enough that when I grabbed a knife, Larry laughed and said, "Ain't gon need that." He was right! I opted for the jalapeño sausage (the more well done one they had because my host said that's the way it ought to be.) Also had a taste of smoked bologna. I've seen some videos of folks making it and I was skeptical, but not anymore! It was awesome! Rounded the lunch out with fried okra, and turnip greens. The turnip greens were my favorite part, but everything was fantastic! This is a tiny hole-in-the-wall place, and I'm glad I found it.“

“Sauce’d, what can we say?! I’ve never been to a place that serves pizza and has the best pizza in town (try the original Texas style crust) but ALSO has the best burgers in town and a great Philly too! They crush it, and Conner and team puts their heart and soul into this menu and food. How they can make everything so consistent but also have that “made-with-love” flavor, is truly special. If you’re in Grapevine, stop here often. If you’re not in Grapevine, find a reason to go to Grapevine, and go here often!“

“Our server, Oscar, was so hospitable and his service impeccable. All the food was delicious and well prepared. The salmon piccata was cooked perfectly, so moist, tender, and flavorful. The gnocchi was sinfully rich with a wonderful mouthfeel. Of course we topped it off with there notable tiramisu.“

“This was the first time I had been to this restaurant . I made a reservation for 4:30 at the restaurant, we were seated immediately when we walked in the door. Brittany our server was very attentive, helpful and assisting us in selecting food choices from the menu. I selected the mushroom ravioli with truffle sauce and my niece had a salad with grilled salmon. The food was excellent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area that is visiting and also to my friends and family.“

“Fantastic dinner. Deep, dark old school, bar atmosphere, clean and lively. Mario was an excellent server and took great care of us even though he was both bartender and sole-server. My husband and I both had the Chicken Carciofo. Huge portion of chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli and French bread. We were absolutely stuffed but somehow managed to clear the plate on a huge slice of raspberry cheesecake. Bravo! Highly recommend!“

“I've eaten here dozens of times. I have developed a serious addiction to their caldo de res. I can't stop thinking about it. My coworkers ridicule me for ordering it when it is 100+ degrees outside. I try to try other things, but I just can't. The caldo is so delicious and so cheap that I am too afraid of regretting it to order anything else. They're just loaded with meat and fresh vegetables and so flavorful.“

“We visited the Grapevine location tonight, 5/25/2024. As always, the food was delicious. Our sever, Lucky, was great - very personable and attentive. Our only negative experience involved the manager on duty. Not only was she very short-tempered with us when we simply asked for some small plates, she was downright aggressively rude. I wondered at the time if that was why there were so many empty tables - poor customer service from management.“

“My partner and I tried this place on a whim after a long day, and we are so glad we did. This place is amazing. To start, the food is absolutely INCREDIBLE. It is genuinely some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The garlic knots they set as table bread were so dense and flavorful they could be an appetizer all on their own. The red sauce was phenomenal. We got entrees and each came with a house salad as a starter and the Red Wine Vinegar dressing was legitimately AMAZING. It was phenomenal. We got fried ravioli as our starter and they were so good. The ricotta was perfectly seasoned and the ravioli were fried to perfection with awesome breading with herbs and Parmesan cheese. Our entrees came out and they were mountains of food and they were absolutely delicious. I got chicken parmigiana and my partner got tortellini in vodka sauce. We also got a calzone to split and didn’t expect it to be as huge and delicious as it was. The sauce is all house made, the chicken parmigiana was quite frankly the best I’ve ever had, and the calzone was stuffed to bursting with ricotta and was phenomenal. Everything was delicious and in heaping portions that left even me, a notorious black hole, tapping out. We had plenty of leftovers to take home to enjoy later. We got cannoli for dessert and while I have never liked cannoli, I’ve also never had a cannoli like THAT. It was just as surprising and wonderful as everything else. 5/5 stars for food and quality. Our service was top-notch. Our server was perfectly attentive, honest, funny, and very kind to us. I wish I had caught her name but she was wonderful. Our food was out relatively quickly, but with the courses, conversation, and her attentiveness it felt fast as you’d like it to be. Never had to ask for anything, never had to call her over but not in a disturbing or overbearing way. She also told great stories and had recommendations that were perfect. 5/5Atmosphere is to be expected from a hole in the wall restaurant, in my opinion you aren’t coming for the looks, you’re coming to get FED. It’s definitely more working-class than bougie, and that’s more our style. Perfect for after work or as a day trip, but maybe not for prom night. Family restaurant through and through. 5/5We had such good food and experience that even though we’re not in Grapevine ourselves, my partner and I have agreed that any time we have to go to Dallas it’s worth stopping in Grapevine just for the food and service. We absolutely will be returning. I normally HATE writing reviews, but this place was truly worth it. I cannot sing its praises enough. If you’re in Grapevine or just traveling through, it’s worth the stop.“

“We moved from NY/NJ area and had been missing diners that serve quality but simple diner food. After trying several places with disappointment, we finally found the one that we love. It might look a bit underwhelming from the look outside but once you enter in the restaurant, the decoration is nice and modest and gives you a good cozy feeling of being in a diner. We ordered some breakfast items and we all love the food. Coffee was also good compared to some of coffee we tasted at other diners. in this area. My kids who have strong opinions about diners, loved this place. Service was good and the owner there is very friendly. We sure to come back again.“
