“The place was crowded when we got there, but we were seated right away. I had their Chili Rellenos,, which were not poblanos but rather slender peppers, (perhaps Anaheims?), stuffed with picadillo beef. They were covered with a cheese sauce rather than a tomato sauce. They were good, the service was good, and the place was clean.“

“Well you're in Clifton Texas and you've gotta fix for some authentic Tex- Mex and the atmosphere to go with it. So I pulled into El Charro Mexican Grill. Not real busy at the time so service was exceptional. Early afternoon on a Thursday if I recall. I looked at my watch and we'll it was 5 o'clock somewhere and I'm on vacation. It was every bit of 95 degrees plus outside so I had a hankering for a Batanga! Maria, my waitress was also the bartender this time of day. She gladly made me a Batanga and she has the secret ingredient for this super popular drink. ( Mexican Coca-cola). Although Pepsi can be substituted. She did great for her first Batanga and I was ecstatic to drink it. I ordered the Tampequira dinner and it was excellent also.“
