“I went here with my bf for a quick breakfast before we got on the road, and they did not disappoint. I got the traditional eggs benedict, and it had the best hollandaise sauce I ever had! I even decided to substitute my potatoes for fruit, and I am happy I did. The fruit was incredibly fresh and juicy. We will definitely be back.”

“The first time I had eaten there, and when we first showed up, we were told to wait until after 8pm to order food because they were a bit overwhelmed. We really wanted to eat before then, but since we were staying for karaoke, we went with it. I go back up at 8:15 to order some food, and the lady behind the bar gave me this exasperated look and told me they just shut off the fryers. I told her that wasn't my problem because she told me to come back after 8. She held up her end and turned the fryers back on, and made our food. I guess I'm not going to eat there anymore. Love the weekly karaoke, and love the drinks though. It's a nice looking bar.”

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.”

“I've been going to Hop Sing for what must be 10+years, after a coworker was reheating some leftovers that looked and smelled amazing. I was not disappointed and haven't been since. They make most of their food in house and it shows. There are few things on the menu that I prefer elsewhere. Their fried rice isn't too heavy, their chicken is almost always tender, their dumplings and crab rangoon are savory, and on and on. We've tried almost everything on the menu and every time we try another place we end up back here, even though we drive by at least a few other places on our way since moving out of the neighborhood shortly after our first trip there. There is one person who can be a bit rushed (though not rude) on the phone, but with online ordering for some time now, we often go that route.”

“We threw a surprise 30th birthday party here. Anita helped us plan the whole thing, she was available for any question we had and had great suggestions along the way. Lilly was our waitress and killed it with service! Very quick and always with a smile. And of course great music! Definitely would recommend planning a party here.”

“I love the Caramel frapp there but I can't always get it which is upsetting because I go mainly for that and I like the crispy chicken sandwich but it sometimes has a bad texture and I can't eat it. “As not one for Indian foods, this place surprised me! The food was some of the best in the area, and not even limited to just Indian cuisine. The love poured into each dish shines through as does the warmth and welcoming personalities of the family who run the place (from North India directly). I loved everything from the Spicy Noodle Samosas, to the Garlic Naan, and the Kadhi Pakoda. Nothing was less than perfect. The desserts were stellar too, we had the Mango Kulfi and the Coconut Cham-Cham, both of which were balanced perfectly. Thank you to everyone who made this place a reality, they have won me over and I know they will win you too!”

“Tried this place on Sunday and the experience was amazing! There was no reservations left so we called when they opened and they told us they have extra spots reserved for walkins at the bar or chefs table. We got a cute little corner area of the bar and it was great! We had the rolls and oysters to start, then I had the scallops and beats for the small dishes and my partner had the swordfish. . The flavour profile of all 3 dishes were soooo good! and we finished off with a soft cheese for desert. We also ordered a smooth red Rioja which just made the night better. Definitely recommend!”

“My son and I ate here Easter night. It was FABULOUS! It had a very cool vibe and the people working there were outstanding, so friendly. Our server, forgot her name (SORRY), was terrific. Great suggestions, attentive but not overly so. The owner Matt was just as nice. Introduced himself, wanted to know how everything was, and thanked us for stopping in. But most importantly - the food and drink. WOW. We were both starving and hadn't eaten all day,so we shared many small plates.....bread, the Basket of French Fries - Melt-em-down, the ham plate, chilled beets and mushroom tartine. All terrific, but we both said the mushroom tartine was our favorite. We ordered potato gnocchi and arctic char for our dinners. Amazing. For the amount of food we ordered, we weren't stuffed, as the portions were just the right size. The arctic char had a maple beurre blanc sauce that was out of this world, so good, I used a spoon to make sure I got every drop! We shared a smallish scoop of pistachio ice cream layered with chocolate chards - just the right size for a sweet bite after dinner. All in all, one of the best restaurants I've been to in while, anywhere, but definitely the best in Burlington. Oh, and the cocktails......divine! Thank you! Can't wait to come back.”

“This Is now my favorite place to eat in Burlington. We sat at the bar and had excellent service by both bartenders. The wine was very good - 2019 Mara Valpolicella Ripasso - and reasonably priced. We shared the Salsiccia E Funghi pizza with the spicy sausage - more than enough for two people. This is one of the most flavorful pizzas I have ever had! We also enjoyed the atmosphere here - fun, relaxed and the right kind of music. Thanks for a great dining experience! We will be back!”
