“I understand that it might seem strange to order pizza without cheese. I've been this way for as long as I can remember, so I understand when a restaurant makes a mistake and needs to remake my pizza. Most people are so accustomed to making pizza with cheese that it's almost a reflex. I'm pretty sure something similar happened tonight at the Fultanos in Astoria, OR. It took a bit longer than usual to get my pizza (they were also quite busy). The difference between Fultanos and other pizzerias is that they didn't just remake my pizza and apologize; they also gave me a coupon for $20 off my next order. If they had simply remade the pizza, I would have left satisfied, but they went above and beyond to ensure my happiness. That's excellent customer service that definitely deserves 5 stars!“

This acting cashier/manager said this is how HE does things. 10 customers came immediately after after us and left. There's always something new and interesting coming to the menu, including chef-foraged ingredients and private dining experiences where the chef curates a special menu just for you. Kenzo, the owner-chef, is a wonderful human being, fun to talk to & just a genuinely kind guy. Stay and chat with him - he's a wealth of knowledge of the local area. “These folks were so friendly, and had such great recommendations. Very knowledgeable about their craft, and great selection on rotation. It’s a great vibe here, easily a must for a stop on the peninsula.As a side note, whoever is in charge of tap selection, you need an award for having root beer on tap. “My true rating is of the pub, 4/5 stars for the pub. We got the fish and chips and the Cajun pasta. The fish and chips was the best of the 2; the only downside being that it was double fried so although it had great crunch, it was too breaded and we had to pick around to eat just the fish. But the daily caught cod was amazing! And the fries are ultimately the best part of the meal! The cajum alfredo pasta was a 3/5 - flavor was there but the sauce was soupy and not creamy like a typical alfredo. We ordered it with prawns and it came with 5 which was more than expected (3 typical) but 2 of them still had their poop sacks so it made it unpleasant to pick through and eat them. They were big prawns than typically I would expect so that was a positive! The service and stay was 5/5! The room, although small, was perfect for 2 nights. We do plan to come back as the overall experience of the town and inn was welcoming and wonderful.“

“I love this place. They have excellent basic hamburgers with cheese, bacon lettuce, tomatoe, and onion. I always get extra lettuce and onion, and they don't charge for it. The fries are excellent. They're crinkle cut, so nice and crispy on the outside. I haven't tried other items on the menu yet. It's also on the way home, which makes it very convenient. The prices are reasonable too.“

We will give it another try next time we're in town.I'll start by saying that our food was mostly decent save for the burger which was extremely overdone. I don't normally get overly concerned with service but there were a few things that really irked me.First I was sent with my ($85) pickup order with no cutlery. I went back in to ask for it and was handed two forks, one of which the packaging had already been opened and was told that's all they had. Which is unfortunate because 3 of us ordered soup.I also noticed after leaving that I was charged $0.75 for dressing for my salad. I can understand a charge for extra dressing, but I did not ask for extra anything. I was also charged for sauce for chicken strips. I was asked what kind of sauce I wanted for the chicken - no mention of an extra charge.Finally I was charged $3.00 for ordering takeout. Again this wouldn't really be as big of a deal if it was disclosed prior to me arriving to pick up my order.Would not eat here again and would not recommend. Just not worth the price and the hassle.“

“It was little odd getting to from being in a mall and also from trying to find it based on the picture of the building which has it red instead of the new blue it is now. I don't eat breakfast often. The kitchen is small, so don't expect instant food if it's busy (it's worth the wait). They have many different pizzas and regular pub food (burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc.). It seems like a lot of the patrons are locals and they are very friendly.Parking: There is a decent-sized parking lot that wraps around the building.“

The smell upon entering the establishment was a foreshadowing of the delicious food we were soon served. We enjoyed the Astoria Potstickers as an appetizer and they were crisp and flavorful. My entree was Pad Thai Country which was a generous serving of chicken with lemongrass and peanut sauce over the noodles. The cook himself came to our table to make sure that he had my date's order correct since she didn't want rice and had requested that her curry dish be more like a soup. The result was amazing and she was similarly pleased. We both would like to come back again the next time that we visit Astoria.As a fun aside, the decor and music inside were all Cuban, as were the tattoos on the arms of the cook. “My wife and I were visiting Astoria for the first time - kind of celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. After going to the Bridgewater Bistro and discovering it was closed to the public for a private party, our second choice was T. Paul’s Supper Club - which was right across the street from our hotel. We split the nightly special which was a 6 oz. sirloin steak that came with 4 jumbo prawns cooked any one of 4 ways (we chose the coconut shrimp version), mashed potatoes and broccolini with carrots for the vegetable. And we also added a house salad which ended up being fantastic in it’s own right. The steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables were also fantastic and the shrimp came with an orange marmalade / thai chili sauce (or something) and that was truly out of this world. Then there was the dessert - we split the Chocolate Ganache Cake - a chocolate lava cake with pecans and caramel inside and whipped cream on top with french vanilla ice cream on the side - all drizzled lightly with chocolate and caramel sauce. Hands down the best dessert my wife and I have ever had.The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service was excellent to boot. What more could you ask for? Nada! 5 stars does not even do justice to the excellence of this restaurant.“

“I was looking for a place that was open and offered good food along with soup. I decided that Uptown Cafe was my best choice and stopped in as a single diner yesterday around 7 PM. I appreciated that they are open until 9 PM as most places around here close at 8 PM and I don't like going to eat at a location that I know is closing up soon. There were a few tables occupied and one server. I looked at their specials which included a creamy mushroom soup! After a short time he came over to seat me and was very affable.I was seated at a nice window seat and decided upon the mushroom soup and their special pot roast. The server came back over to my table and took my order. He apologized for the wait, which in this post-covid era, wasn't much of a wait at all.My soup came out right away, and it was delicious. I was able to enjoy it while waiting for my food. The main course arrived and it was a huge portion size. I ate half of it and had to take the other half home. The pot roast was cooked perfectly, melting off my fork. The entire meal was very reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. I had not visited here before because the outside and the location gave me the impression it was an average tourist stop along the way to the coast but I could not have been more wrong about that.I will definitely be back again!“
