My husband and I were checking out Maple Valley and Covington. We wanted to grab a bite to eat on our way home. We saw that Nashville’s had a good Google score so we kind of drove out of the way to check it out. When we arrived, the woman behind the bar made eye contact but never greeted us. Three people arrived about a minute after we did and she went right to their table, took their order, then went to the bar to make it. Meanwhile, my hubby and I had been sitting there for 5 minutes with not so much as water or an order taken, I told him that if she goes back to the bar after chatting with them without taking our order, then I’m out. He agreed. We listened to her chatting with the other table without ever acknowledging us, so we left. This bar has clearly on their door that they are LGBT friendly. I guess they don’t extend such a welcome to an interracial, heterosexual couple where the black chick is decked out in patriotic garb. Due to the lack of service after 10 minutes, we got up and left. We won’t be back.
