“One of the best restaurants ive found in years. I dont understand any negative comments, i recommend eating at the restaurant. Chill music and atmosphere, tasty fresh food. A lot of meat and vegetarian options (all options with a leaf by it are veggie). The wasabi is the high-quality aromatic, hits you, authentic stuff. Not the dyed green knock off. Same likely with all else they have. Friendly staff. What else is there to say. Prices seem on point with the area. Thank you staff, your all awesome and i cannot wait to have another night out here with the wife or friends.I appreciate that they dont pour the water but give you a glass with fruit in it to pour yourself, to cut down on waste.Also give you options of black metal silverware (fork ect) or wooden chopsticks.“

“I ordered the Mongolian Beef/teriyaki chicken combo 17.99 and a potato croquette 2.49. First of all, the amount of food you get is enough for two. It is basically a full order of each meat and 2 giant mounds of rice. Well worth the price. The potato croquette was sooo good. Creamy inside and crispy outside. The katsu sauce it came with was the best. Not all watered down either. The chicken was moist and cooked perfect. The teriyaki sauce was generous and very good. The beef was really good. I wish they had an option to make it spicy. Also wish they had a bit more veggies in the mix. NOT complaining, just my preference. This place is close to work, so will definitely be trying more from them for lunch in the future!“

“Not sure why I've never reviewed this place. It's our go-to for our 1-2 times a month takeout. Yakisoba is my favorite, and my husband usually gets the bento box or the special. Spicy teriyaki is also very good. Everything we've tried is delicious. The food is consistently good. Portions are still very generous, which is appreciated with all the shrinkflation these days. I'd rather have price increases than ever-shrinking portions at some restaurants these days. This is the only neighborhood teriyaki place we will eat at after getting sick from the one down the street. Plus the owners are super nice!“

“There are not a lot of sushi restaurants in Tacoma, and of those I know of, they tend to think they're in Seattle and it's okay to charge $20 a roll, or competing with gas stations to make you nervous, this place is the exception. It's affordable, not pretentious, cute interior with pretty solid sushi, (I stick with the veggie options but my friends have all enjoyed the fish, so second hand account on the actual sushi)If you live in the area and want sushi, I definitely recommend it, for whatever that's worth :)P.S. I'm grading this a bit on a curve due to the other options I've had, but it's a review so definitely biased in some way or another.“

“1sst time going there with my wife to celebrate mother's day. We was ordering take-out and the atmosphere is relaxing, the customer service is good and friendly. We ordered the Hawaiian Fried rice, Curry chicken, and Godzilla sushi rolls. Total $47 and the quantity/quality is amazing. We'll be coming back for more in the future.“

“Great teriyaki. Good gyoza (though not as crispy as the ones from Hot Teriyaki). Their salad dressing is amazing though! They sell it by the bottle and for good reason. Staff are polite and quick and there are plenty of tables to sit and eat at.“

“I've been to many sushi places in the Tacoma/Seattle area and Fujiya certainly stands out as one the best. I can really only speak to the nigiri, but it is always fresh, melt in your mouth tender and generous slices of fish. So good! I want to go back just talking about it!“

“My husband and I found this place when we lived on 6th Ave. in Tacoma. He says their sesame chicken is some of the best he has ever had. I have driven 30 min out of my way in order to get their egg drop soup and their combo meals are so good for the price. I think the value and quality plus the service here is absolutely amazing. If I lived closer we would probably get food from here once a month.“

Though, sometimes, the service can be horrible—there’s always some sort of attitude and there’s no accommodations (like protein replacements that would be EASY). “DO NOT RECOMMEND It's what I pushed and then all the sudden it said I recommend it no I don't I went in today to go get my Beef Teriyaki with fried rice I paid extra for the rice. I ended up not getting a sauce for my fried rice so I asked for one. I showed the girl that I didn't get one and she was rude to me in front of all the customers saying that it doesn't come with 1. Trying to charge me $1 so I'm confused that not only did I just pay 12.49 plus 1.99 for some rice and you want to charge me for a sauce. She slammed down 2 sauces and said "next time I'm charging you". I took 1 to my table and said you know what I'll put it back because I ordered a side of fried rice and will give my mom mine. Shes slamming the ice around etc... Also I had bean sprouts in my food a few weeks ago when I asked for none in 3 of my meals. I didn't complain. I did have 2 complaints from the past about sweet and sour chicken being hard it was all like bone cartridges. If you complain one time the rest of the time on they treat you like crap. I'm done with going here I've had enough of thier bs.“
