8 Best Wine Bars near Hudson

“We parked at one end of Hudson and walked the main strip looking for a new place to eat. We stumbled on Black Rooster ?, and it called to us. There's a steep flight of stairs leading you into the cool cave like atmosphere of the place.We had wine ? and smoked old fashioneds (yum) to start. We had the pan-roasted chicken breast ? and seared sea scallops, which were both amazing. The menu rotates, so who knows what we'll get next time (and there will be a next time).Parking: There are pay parking lots all along the main strip (pay only during specific hours).“

“Finally made it across the river to Nova today. My visit left me in the state of "how many times were you told to get here... & kept saying...mehh... I will? Well today did not disappoint! I loved the small brunch cocktail menu, not overwhelming and some great options, the bloody with dill pickle ice was very tempting! I opted for the Knob Creek Colab Sour, it was delicious & not too sweet so I sucked it down in two sips! It paired perfectly w hanging out w buddies on the patio! I like that he patio had options of small square tables, round tables and picnic tables w umbrellas! There's a small parking lot, that if it's full you can easily park along the Coulee curb. Boomin Barbecue has residency and w the Libations for Everyone podcast recording today I opted for the Knob Creek burger, "Smoked & Seared Burger, American Cheese, Smoked Pork Belly, Bourbon Braised Onions, Pickles, Knob Creek Aioli on a Sesame Potato Bun". I'm sorry, correction: the DELICIOUS Knob Creek burger!!! The bar was comfortable and spacious, read: you weren't touching legs w the chair next to you. You can see the two bathrooms from the bar, they're not tucked away in some corner. I like that there is a garage door open to the spacious patio. I was able to have a few words w the friendly owner. I may have drug my feet to have my inaugural visit, but I am positive there will be no delay on my next visit. Thanks Nova for such a fun, comfortable and delicious afternoon, cheers!“

“I adore this place! The food is delicious, at least the dishes I’ve tried (I’m vegetarian so I’ve only had a few dishes), and I love that they have art and local goods to buy throughout the place. Sometimes it gets pretty busy which for me can get a little overwhelming to be in such a loud and crowded place, but that is more of a “me problem.” I always go for the grilled cheese pretzel and tomato basil soup combo for lunch (pictured) and in the morning I get the Nutella Nordic waffle!“

“How many more of these gems are there in Stillwater? So many options for great food and drinks!A friend recommended Domacin to us because we love wine and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. There is a strong viticulture theme obviously but besides the outstanding wines by the glass you notice the decor with many large format bottles on display and also the stemware they serve wine in is beautiful and top quality.The menu is a little small for entrees but the duck I had was one of the best duck I've ever tasted. The meat and cheese board was also delicious and you get a lot of food.Can't wait to return in warm weather and sit on their patio.May 2024: Well, I learned tonight that they change the menu. So the delicious duck I had last time was totally different tonight. I was unhappy with it. Still love the restaurant, the wine decor, the patio, and great service.“

“Wonderful, relaxing space for having a glass of wine and some fabulous bites. The truffle oil Brussel sprouts are absolutely fantastic. Server Amanda is kind, knowledgeable and personable. Manager Sara was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!“

“I can't say enough about this place. We came here for my birthday dinner on the recommendation of a relative. I made a reservation and we were seated promptly at a cute window table. Our server made great wine recommendations, based on what we planned to order for dinner and her personal favorites. She took into account any budgetary requirements. The wine was absolutely delightful. We ordered charcuterie, which was just the right amount without taking away our appetite for dinner. The pasta dishes are incredible. Our favorite was the orecchiette which had a Bolognese sauce. The desserts were exactly the right size that we could each order our own and were so delicious. We can't wait to come back!“

“Visited Stillwater Proper. Very busy, but friendly approachable staff. We got the wedge salad, 10.10. Then we got the proper burger sub cheddar for american cheese. Very tastey burger, well seasoned. Their in house root beer is amazing as well.“

“Every time we have come into this restaurant for a luncheon it has been amazingly great. Heather has been our server and I believe she is more of a mixologist than just a bartender. She makes this place. The view and the food and the cocktails have always been so delicious. Heather’s suggestions to whether it’s food or spirits have been top notch! I strongly suggest you make a visit here when Heather is working. Every time we have been here it’s been wonderful and awesome. Expresso Martini, Mojito, Christmas Egg Nog you name it Heather can make a cocktail you will never forget. She makes this place classy and fun!Thank you so much Heather. We will be back again soon.“
