Overall mediocre experience. We have the Greek feast for 2, pita & calamari & pegasus to drink. The drinks for $11 we definitely not worth the price. Calamari’s batter was falling apart & never gave us any lemon on the side. Our Greek feast was ordered first and it was okay but the vegetables were under cooked & for a minimum two to order($90), you’d expect it to feed us as it’s the “greek feast” we had to then order two addition items on the menu to fill myself and my bf.

Online menu different than in restaurant. Online promotions not honoured once at the restaurant. Server disappeared for nearly 30mins. Left after appetizer. Too bad because food was good. Never will go back.

Atmosphere was good and so was the show, but the food was burnt, bland and not worth the money. Would never go here again.

(TMI) cause I broke my back tooth after eating here.I ordered the seafood dish, SO goodthe downside? Broken shells causing me to break my back tooth and having that piece you see on the right break into my gumwhen you’re sick, the dentist won’t help until the infection clears up. Im from calgary so I couldn’t get treated till i returned the next day and had to sort out the infection piece prior. The server was nice, other dishes were good at our table. Wouldnt reccomend the seafood dish as all they really did was comp my meal, I still paid for my cocktail which was yummy too. Calamari was good, should’ve gotten that and then I wouldn’t be in my current situationThis happened when I scooped up seafood and the sauce on my pita, took a big bite and felt a crack and sharp pain. After running to the bathroom I asked a server for help, manager was called and he said he would comp the meal. I was in pain

DO NOT ATTEND BALKAN'S NEW YEARS PARTY. It all around was a miserable experience. The tasting menu was small portions and extremely over priced. Our waiter told us one of the main dishes was sold out so we had to settle for the vegetarian dish that we didn't want. The group that sat down at the table next to us 45 minutes later complained enough to receive this "sold out" dish, which made matters worse. This restaurant is next to a night club which had a base that was so loud, it vibrated the wall of the restaurant and made the dining experience very unenjoyable. Cherry on top of a bad experience was ringing in the New Year without a glass of champagne that we PAID for. They gave some customers glasses but totally skipped our side of the restaurant. To summarize, this restaurant over promised and underdelivered. The management team should probably think twice before hosting another event. My husband and I kicked off our New Year extremely disappointed. I 'm sure we weren't the only ones...Hopefully Balkan's day to day dinning experience is better.

Lively and delicious! This restaurant was recommended by our ski guide at lake Louise. We made a same day reservation and were seated immediately on arrival. We ordered the two drink specials white sangria and a raspberry mojitos both were delicious. We opted for two appetizers hummus and Greek street fries. The hummus and grilled pita were great but I think $13 cad is high for the portion. The star was the fries with feta, green onions, lemon sauce, and a garlic mayo dip. I’ll be back for more. Entrees were the lamb souvlaki and edamame falafel sandwich. Both great choices. The servers and food runners were also very professional.Same owners for 40 years. Live entertainment several days per week.

We were party of 6. Arrived on time for our reservation, waited outside to get seated for 10 min cuz table wasn't clear. No worries, we set and I don't know her name this server that taking care us had an attitude from the start rushing us for our orders not a single smile thank you or anything. We place our orders and 2 of ours lamb meal came uncook fully raw inside. Let the server know, she took out food and said it will remake. Meanwhile all other friends got their food and we still waiting. Finally they all done and she come back clearing the plates and turn us yours will be soon, not a single apologies or anything. We got our food after and it came burn. It wasn't like char or anything it was burn. Let manager know about it all she was saying excuses instead sorry what we can do better. So we end up leaving the place hungry. Thanks for disappointment. It was delicious.
