Customers praise the fun and unique concept, where sushi slides out of a tube when pressed, making it a mess-free and convenient option. The portions are generous, and the overall taste is described as delicious, with the rolls being fresh and the presentation in the tube being interesting. The lack of long lines is an added bonus, making it an even better experience. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with certain aspects of their visit. “Academic Coffee is a unique and small café located in a parking garage driveway in Santa Clara. The entrance is tucked around the building, with a very steep dip that can be difficult for low cars. Despite its odd location, the shop offers a variety of drinks that are generally well-liked, especially the banana cream matcha latte, which many reviewers praised for its balanced, smooth flavor. The drinks can be a bit expensive, but they tend to be tasty and well-made. Inside, the shop has a cozy but small space with some cute seating options, both inside and outside in a beautiful front yard. However, seating may not be ideal for extended stays, as chairs are wobbly and there are no power outlets available. The shop's atmosphere can feel a bit rushed or unwelcoming, with staff sometimes appearing hurried and not very friendly, which detracts from the overall experience. Parking is limited, with only a few short-term spots and some street parking, which can be tricky. Food options include pastries, but there’s no microwave or oven to reheat baked goods, and some drinks, like the banana latte, may arrive lukewarm. Overall, Academic Coffee offers great drinks, especially the matcha and banana cream varieties, but the experience is affected by parking challenges and a lack of warm, inviting staff. It’s a good spot for a quick coffee, but not ideal for lingering or extended visits.”

“Joyride Pizza at Pier 1 offers a Detroit-style pizza with a San Francisco twist, located right on the bay near the Ferry Building. The restaurant provides a variety of options for vegetarians and meat lovers, with both gluten-free and traditional pizzas available. The views of the Bay Bridge add to the appeal, especially for those looking to enjoy their meal with scenic scenery. Inside tables are limited, so guests are advised to bring a jacket due to the outdoor seating and limited indoor space. Reviews highlight that the pizzas are generally delicious, with some praising the gluten-free options and the crispy cheese edges. However, some found the pizza expensive for the portion size, with prices around $18 for a small sausage and shrooms pizza. A few reviews mention that the pizzas can be overly cheesy or salty, and the marinara bland. Slices are not available; customers must purchase whole pizzas, which can be quite thick and feeding multiple people. Despite mixed opinions on taste and value, many appreciate the great views, the quick service, and the overall experience, making Joyride Pizza a popular spot for pizza and scenery in San Francisco.”

“First,...the political commentary is unnecessary, and crazy. Someone obviously has an issue and an axe-to-grind! ~~~ Now, about the food...Good, reliable, true BBQ staples. I'm a Texan, and enjoy the food here. Prices are fair, the staff has always been pleasant, and accommodating. BBQ sauces are side-served, which I like as that is the Texas way. Texans use dry-rub, not slathered on thick sauces. Been going there for over 5 years. Try it, I think y'all are gonna like it !”
