“It was a rainy Saturday when we got here. But we were fortunate to have made it just the same coz this place has a very limited hours of operation. The menu on that day listed Laksa and Beef rendang with the option to add the blooming egg. Our group ordered both laksa and beef rendang without the blooming egg. All four of us agreed that everything was delicious! I had the beef rendang which I found to be saucy (which I liked very much coz I just love saucy foods) A bit spicy but tolerable. Serving was generous. I ordered the pandas coffee to go and that hit the spot. Limited seating and limited parking though street parking seems to be allowed in that residential neighborhood. Hole in the wall kind of place but owner and staff were all jovial and very pleasant. Given their limited hours of operation and our limited stay in Honolulu, it will not be possible to come back to taste their other offerings. But I strongly recommend this place to visitors and locals alike.”

The fish is exceptionally fresh and aged perfectly, with flavors that shine through in every bite. Standout dishes include the hamachi kabosu, Toro rice bowl, Yasai salad maki, Fuji salmon nigiri, and the Grabbing Temaki. Every roll or nigiri is described as out of this world, creative, and beautifully presented. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, with a stunning atmosphere and an incredible vibe. The service is outstanding, warm, and unrivalled, making guests feel special and completely taken care of from start to finish. Attention to detail is noted in everything, including the special rice imported from Hokkaido, the table-side fresh wasabi, the light and sweet soy sauce, and the complimentary cold green tea palate cleanser. While definitely a splurge and on the higher end of expensive, most reviewers find it worth it for the world-class food, service, and ambience. Sitting at the bar provides a great opportunity to interact with the chefs. The combination makes for an unforgettable and memorable meal, a highlight of a trip to Maui, and a top choice for the best authentic sushi on the island.”
