“The Burger Barn is my favorite go to place! Breakfast is great at $6.00 a plate. It's customizable, need more bacon, just ask....small charge. “I’ve never had a bad meal at the Garden Patch. Highly recommend.”
“This is the best bar I’ve found around my area. The atmosphere is great. The service is fantastic. They don’t have food in the bar, but they do have food trucks and cookouts from time to time. When they have food it is good and is always advertised on their Facebook, instagram, and TikTok pages. They did just get a popcorn machine in though so that’s a nice touch if you want something salty when you’re drinking. They also have peanuts on the tables to eat that are nice to snack on. It’s nice to have a place that you can sing karaoke, play pool, and hang out until 2 am that is local. Not to mention that the drinks are phenomenal. This place is a hidden treasure and if you haven’t checked it out, you definitely need to. It is a must if you want a fun night out. I have been to this bar years ago and I have been quite a few times since it’s been under new ownership. It’s much different than it was in the past. It’s all around better now than it was before. I love it here and I’m glad this bar was cleaned and opened back up. I don’t know what happened to the mean, old lady that used to run the place and told everybody she owned it (but didn’t), but the new owners are much friendlier and the place is much nicer without losing its nostalgic feeling.”
“Anastasia, her husband, and Cloi were the highlight of our stay in Hessel! We ate at least one meal a day here. Her food is exceptional! Prepared with such love and dedication! I'm not a sweet eater, but my husband, my sister and her husband tried all of Anastasia's home made desserts. We will return here as long as she is open and we travel from Florida to Michigan in the summer. We felt like we were leaving family at the end of our stay. Great business!”
“What a treat. Stopped in for tea just outside of Gettysburg. Every morsal was delicious. A must if you are in the area....we will be back for sure!!”
“We stayed at Oceanside Resort so decided, at the recommendation of a friend who lives close by, to try Taste Taco Bistro, just across the parking lot from our cottage. What a wonderful surprise! From the burrito bowl, to the tacos, to the enchiladas - all were delicious and got two thumbs up from the adults as well as from the 7 and almost 4 year old grandkids. It was so good that after trying 3 other restaurants in our one week stay, we went back to the bistro again. Thank you Kirsten who was so helpful and friendly as she served us, and to your chef (I'm sorry I didn't get his name!). We will come back again when we visit Parksville.”
“Brendon our server was outstanding and his people skills and friendliness were outstanding. Really enjoyed our dinner with friends and he was the best.”
“Their lamb/beef patties have that rich flavor without the fat, the "grill taste" is clean and not overwhelming with the lamb and chicken either. I cannot praise enough how everything is prepared, its all fresh. I suggest not ordering Piyaz because it was always replaced with shepard salad and not hummus...if you catch the drift of wanting beans instead of leaves.... Service is probably better if you speak the language, nonetheless there is always someone there who is experienced with English, I felt welcomed even tho I walked into the smoking lounge which I found cool because it was all men just playing cards or dice and games. I wasnt hushed out of the room, just redirected but it was smokey lol, Atmosphere when I usually order is vacant, the place is off the beaten path but its well worth the take out. Its a family business it seems and they got something good going on, I go tho this place regularly, like once every 2-3 weeks and im happy everytime.”
“Christine the Bartender (GM) is awesome and very friendly along with the rest of the staff, Specials are worth it and definitely worth a visit.”

“Global Cuisine by Blesame Int'l Catering is a welcoming restaurant serving authentic Filipino cuisine. The owner, Chef Kris, is kind and accommodating, making guests feel right at home. The menu offers a range of classic Filipino dishes, including Pork Adobo Ribs, Pancit with Pork, and Halo-Halo dessert. The bento box special, featuring chicken or pork adobo with steamed rice, spring roll, pancit, and dessert, is a popular choice. The locally-owned restaurant has a homey and casual atmosphere, traditionally decorated and very clean. The Kare Kare Oxtail was filling and had a rich peanut flavor, while the adobo was tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The pancit was a symphony of textures and tastes.
