The atmosphere of the restaurant is very unique with memorabilia from what I assume the historic original location. However, the atmosphere could not make up for the worse service I have yet to encounter.1. The restaurant was half full, but an order of 1 omelette and 2 cups of fresh fruits took 40mins.2. We didn't get condiments or water until we practically finished our meal.3. We tried to pay for the bill, but the server left a blank credit card machine on our table so we were stuck at our table for another 20min.It is a real pity because I went in really wanting to like the restaurant, but I will not back.

Good portions and reasonably priced. Had 8 people walk in on a Sunday AM and they took us no problem. Would normally make a reservation but it was last minute. Everyone enjoyed the food. A solid 4.3. Service was also a solid 4.3. To get 5 stars it's got to be exemplary for me. But if anyone is on the fence after seeing their rating or other reviews, I can confidently say come have breakfast. Of my party of 8 no one had a single complaint and our server was pretty attentive and the manager checked in with us which is always a nice touch.

Building is physical moved across the street, it’s now in a building corner of 2nd Avenue and 3rd street. Outdoor sitting and very good food and service. Improved and modern 5 star.

They had the best fries I've had in a long time, the best beef sandwich and dipping jus and everyone was raving about the food in our party of 5. My daughter chose French onion soup and said it was delicious. Honestly we couldn't fault it. To top it all the service was top notch, we were served by a young lad who was absolutely charming. Loved it!

A delicious breakfast always, we've been regulars at 1886 for years. We went with a large group of 25 people this weekend and the food was amazing as usual. Our servers were exceptional. I recommend Kenny's Special (with a side of sausage). So good!

The breakfast was delicious but the highlight was the service. Our server Negrecia was absolutely fantastic. Super friendly and attentive. Never had an empty water glass and made wonderful menu suggestions. 10/10 would recommend.

Staying at the Eau Claire Sheraton with meal options all around. By far our favorite has been 1886. Chashna was our server tonight and she wins best staff member interaction so far. Mac and Cheese is an amazing comfort food. We have not had anything we have not enjoyed. Worth the stop in. Reasonably priced for the area. I can see this as a stop for a family, watching the hockey game, or conference visitors. Really good food, good prices, great staff. I was in a hurry for breakfast as my sleep took priority to my planning - our server (who I missed her name) said she would go back and help him cook to be sure I was in time for the conference I had to attend in 30 minutes. I was not late! BEST fried potatoes I have had in a long time! 10 star if I could!

Great place! Jeremiah was awesome! Food was really good, wife had the French Onion soup and was really tasty. I had the Caprese sandwich which was delicious. Pesto was a bit oily but taste was fantastic. The sourdough bread that they used for the sandwich was the same for the French Onion soup, great consistency and held up well. Wife also had the beef dip for main and was on the go of end of pub beef dips. Fries were nice fresh crisp and hot! Willl be back!

Wife and I tried this place for a weekend brunch and were disappointed in the reception by the hostess and our waitress. Seems life is not going well for them and they made sure everyone knew. Blueberry pancakes were doughy and tough. Omelette was okay but not great. Floors, windows and bathrooms are dirty. Food timing was slow. Won’t be back.

It took over an hour to serve us our meal during lunch. They didn't come by to ask us if we wanted another beer. The restaurant was nearly empty during the lunch rush which is now understandable considering the slow service. The food was not as good as other places nearby.
Came for some late breakfast and drinks, the service was awesome which is why I'm leaving 2stars instead of 1, but the food was not good. My girlfriend had the pancakes and couldn't finish the first one. Something tasted off, I had steak n eggs and my steak was super tough and hard to chew through, my toast was too cold to melt the butter, and my hashbrowns were really soggy. In the end we ate about a third of our food and left to find something better. Hopefully they can figure out their kitchen as the staff and location are great.

When we went in it was being renovated so the restraunt was in the hotel across the street, no big deal. Still a good atmosphere and clean.Our server was great but apparently the kitchen staff was upset that they were so busy and the server gave us a heads up it might take a while. (This is with several open tables) we understood both formerly working in hospitality and waited patiently for our eggs Benedict and basic breakfast.We arrived at 11:30 and didn't receive our food until ateast 12:20. The food was decent and the service staff was great but the kitchen staff either needs more help or an attitude adjustment.We may try this restraunt again once it is back at its original location but the wait times may stop us from coming back to be honest, idk of many people who can fit a near 2 hour brunch into their schedule.
