For starters HUGE health violations!!! Cross contamination between containers and refrigerated sauces (Mayonnaise!!!!) Secondly the atmosphere is laughably bad with quality stolen pictures of Montreal and a strange shrine of packaging in the corner??? (Don't forget the neverending barrage of static from the radio!!) Third the food was Appalling, I have no idea what I ate but I know it wasn't smoked meat! The lettuce is old, fries are microwaved and waxy, and mayo is left out and sour!!! If I could give negative stars I would. Prices are unbelievable too! Hope to god you don't get food poisoning if you make the unfortunate mistake of going here!!

Oh dear. Not really one star worthy, unfortunately. We ordered the Montreal smoke meat subs. I have literally no idea what the smelly, off putting cubed meat that we received actually was. Not smoked brisket I can assure. So dry, chewy and off tasting that we all 3 tossed them. And the poutine was just scary. The fries tasted reheated not made fresh and we watched him take a ladle and cross contaminated the gravy and the mystery meat. The whole thing was microwaved. Never mind the very dirty condiments bottles and lack of refrigeration for the vegetables etc. Just horrifying. This cost a whopping almost $60 with no drinks. A grueling 20 minute wait with the static radio ambiance to warn you of horrors to come.Listen, I am not one to leave bad reviews as everyone has 'off' days but this was down right scary. I agree with the other reviewer, the health department needs to step up and get this place cleaning and trained at very least. I say save yourself, just don't go. Too bad, I hear it used to be better.

SAVE YOURSELF Should be zero stars. Ordered 2 subs and waited for 20 to get dried up empty subs. Pizza sub was far from a Pizza sub. Zero pizza sauce. Other tables walked out and very unhappy were unhappy with all of their food choices. Will never return. Gross. After the fact I noticed the unkept cold storage and sauce bottles… omg. They are not washed regularly at all. The bottles had built up grime and dirt. Pls don’t go here. I’m hop Bf we don’t get sick but if we do we know exactly where it came from. Where is the health Inspector?? They would be shut down until issues resolved.

Very minimal parking now since the gas station nextdoor is now a U-Haul truck depot taking up a lot of theparking.2. Place was totally empty which should have been my firsthint.3. No one at the counter when I walked in.Looked at the menu and was astounded at the prices.I was there so I thought I would order a Queen Smoked Meatsandwich and bottle of water.Paid for it. The counter person was very rude and curt to startwith.4.Sat down at a table and waited for over 10 minutes withno sandwich or attendant in sight but I heard him gabbingon the phone the entire time in a back room.5. I stood up and he appeared with my tiny $17.05 sandwichan two very thin pickle slices. A bottle of water was includedin that $17.05. He was still talking on his cell phone.6. I swear the entire sandwich amounted to 4 small bites. OMG7. Another lady walked in after me and after waiting 10 minutesjust walked out in frustration and made a comment to therude counter person that she was never coming back andwould post a review about her experience.The rude attendant then yelled at her saying to never comeback.In summary, this place was a decent place years agoBUT NOT ANYMORE.Insane pricing for miniscule portions, rude staff and littleif any parking.Also, the tastes of the smoked meat was much better in the past.In the past all the meat was right out front and you watched theperson make the sandwich.NOW, it is all done in a back room so who knows what theyprepare or how it is prepared.It was way better in the past BUT IS NOW JUST A RIP OFF!!!At this rate, they will not be in business much longer.Sad.

This place is terrible. Montreal smoked sandwich for $18? Nothing else just a sandwich. First, a total rip off. I can buy a $5 package from Walmart and have more meat. This sandwich came from a package and is not authentic at all. Next, for $18 in Montreal on St. Catherine's, I could get a much better, bigger sandwich, with fries and a Coke for that price. There was nothing authentic or smoked about this sandwich. Total rip off. Please avoid this place, you will be very disappointed. Oh, almost forgot they give you a small pickle. I guess that's an attempt at making it authentic.
We Moved back to Calgary last year ( my husband has lived in Montreal his whole life) This is the best smoked meat place we found so far. Good quality smoked meat and homemade fries. A little pricey but worth it. We love the Montreal pictures on the walls. ❤️

We both had Queens platter, we were very disappointed. The fries and sandwiches were cold and the bread seemed stale. There was hardly any meat in the sandwich for an original smoked meat style sandwich. The pickle comes in plastic... The taste was not good the texture of the skin was strange I could not eat it. The coleslaw is also different it used to be good☺️ That's just the food part. The service was ok. The facility was a little dirty around the baseboard noticeably and ceiling tiles falling down. Both restrooms were out of service.We used to eat here on a regular basis and feel it must be under new management. The amount of food is less than it used to be.√ we will not be visiting this business in the future.

I don’t quite understand why this place was so run down. Your you own the business especially a good establishment this place shouldn’t be that run down.No I say run down because not only were the floor’s overly sticky/ dirty. But the ceiling tiles were falling off and the ground had a ton of water. Being -30 half the floor was a literal ice rink.We were the only people in there for quite a while and waited about 25-30 min for a poutine and a sub.. now the sub was okay at best but definitely not worth the $20Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Their poutines are vary expansive compare to A&W and new-York fries, the tiller selling large and med size as one, big scammer on their price as well. Not happy with his rude mouth. Will never come here for their food again.
