was here to enjoy the atmosphere today and submit some work documents since today is a Wednesday. I was informed by the staff after 7:30 pm laptops aren't permitted. Very disappointed with the lack of flexibility at a place that is actually known to be a cafe.

I haven't tried much of the food, unfortunately. However, their strawberry latte would have to be one of my favorite drinks, being a huge strawberry fan. The latte's also weren't bad and I can't wait to try more of the menu. Service was great, and the cashier was really kind. Will definitely be back! ?!

This was an awesome place to go to! Went here a little over a week ago with my lover and a pal and the food and drinks were amazing, a little pricey for all of us but everything was delicious, i especially recommend the k-fries, so crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, also the blue lemonade was such a treat! I had to get another because i couldn't get enough! Only complaint is that music was very loud in there, could barely hear eachother talking

Food and ambience of the establishment were high quality and exceeded expectations, however you had to retrieve your own menus and had to engage with staff to order instead of having them interact with you. In the end, there was an unknown additional 7 dollars that was not listed on the menu. I do not know where this additional charge came from, but it was attached to cost of my fries. The ambience and environment were amazing and we loved it, however for the price and quality of the dishes and drinks served, I will not necessarily return.

Such a hidden gem! My friends and i also go to Ambient when we hangout downtown, they have delicious drinks and a cute photobooth, they play krnb and it just makes the atmosphere even better.

Got the plain "crispy" fried chicken, it was $16.31 after 20% tip which is the minimum on the machine. Thought it was just okay. Not greasy or too dry. The shell is soft, not a hard crunchy or super thin coating. The salad had croutons and strawberries. I would probably come back here if my friends wanted to hang out here, but not for the food exclusively. I would like to try more menu items however, Esp the desserts.

Entry to the restaurant looks like a dive, but it is actually a cute and modern space with lights used to decorate the space.Staff is very friendly and helpful. The yuzu honey tea was perfect in this cold weather. They have a good variety of cold and hot drinks.I ordered the classic standing egg sandwich, which had egg and cheese with lettuce. You get to choose your sauce, I chose wasabi. It was a very tasty sandwich, especially with the lightly toasted milk bread. The bread was light and fluffy, eggs were a nice soft omelet. I really enjoyed this. I had a side of Okonomi fries. Those had a lot of flavour if you like the combo of sweet and savoury.Price was reasonable. I would come back to try other dishes.Parking: It is in the heart of Chinatown, so can be tough to find parking and it is street paid parking.

Was so excited to see another place that sells the swirls (viral croissants) in Calgary besides Sucre. I got the strawberry and it looked so prettyyy but I guess they probably left it in the fridge or so cause it was cold and very hard to bite on or break apart ? kind of disappointed tho. Also a little overpriced…

Thanks to Elle for introducing me to this gem of a spot in Chinatown. This is the first place I've seen with a photo booth, which is interesting and unexpected. We stopped by for tea and coffee after dinner, and I loved the ambiance. The music playlist was superb, and the cool lighting added to the environment. The Hazelnut Latte I had was delicious, and the service was great. Based on the numerous 5 star reviews, I'll definitely have to come back and try the food. Also, it's nice to know that it's open until 1:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

**Food (5/5):**Ambient Cafe excels in Korean cuisine, offering a stellar experience with juicy fried chicken and deliciously golden, thick fries. What sets them apart is the customization option—add flavorful twists like fish or garlic to your fries. The diverse menu caters to all tastes, and the specialty juices, especially the amazing Peach Out, elevate the dining experience. Perfect for those seeking a tasty adventure. A flawless 5 out of 5.**Service (4/5):**The staff at Ambient Cafe is friendly and efficient, ensuring swift service and managing to tie people to barber chairs in under 15 minutes. While commendable, a few improvements could elevate the score to a solid 4 out of 5.**Atmosphere and Locale (4/5):**Nestled in downtown YYC's heart, Ambient Cafe boasts a modern facility in vibrant Chinatown. Parking might be tricky, but the locale, with K-pop vibes and selfie-worthy walls, earns a 4 out of 5. Comfort could be enhanced with more ergonomic seating, yet the Anime and K-pop playlist adds a fantastic touch to the lively atmosphere.

Really loved my experience here! I got a dirty chocolate, balsamic salad, and k-street fries. I wasn’t expecting anything mind-blowing for a salad and fries, but they put a unique spin on the flavours and really exceeded my expectations. Everything was amazingly delicious, and I’ll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu! The ambience was quite nice too.

I get this is a business and goal is to generate profit. But when two teenagers come in cold Calgary December evening, please have a decency and dont ask them leave if they dont have 2 drinks or food in condescending manner. As a parent, I found that very disturbing and upsetting to found out how my kid n her friend were treated. She tells me there wasnt even any customer then.Your price and service w hint of condescending would explain why it is empty on sat evening.I am a korean 2nd gen immigrant. However we korenas nor canadians do not treat teenager like that let along paying customers.Plz remove "korean" from your google description. I would be terribly concerned that people would think korean would treat customers how you would.
