Picked up supper from Bookers and was not disappointed. A brisket sandwich that was easily enough for two, preceeded by their excellet "burnt ends" which are NOT burnt, but are cooked to the very edge of smoked perfection. We also had a couple of orders of smoked wings, whch were to die for on just the flavor of the smoke.
It was a great time but I was a little confused with what's the point of reservations when they try and give you the worst table in the place. I of course asked for different seating but the original request was standard table and no high top and both options given to me were a high top table minor issue but I felt the need to mention it here since it is a option on open table and all. We also noticed the proportion's were smaller than previous visits. I get it times are tough but better to stay consistent in my opinion. Till next time !

So terrible i recommend not going here very bad service and when we ordered the food there was 2 pieces of hair in 2 different salads and the calamari was over cooked the lobster legs were also over cooked. Once we asked for the manager they only took off the drink and with the hair being in the salads during covid is not okay so clearly there are not being good with covid where they cook the food. VERY BAD plz don’t go here.

Took 27 minutes for our first round of drinks (1 vodka soda and 1 beer on tap) Food came without the dressing to my salad and never got the chance to ask for it because no one did a quality check. Asked for the bill and left. As a server myself I understand it being busy but I also watched my drinks sit at the bar for over 25 minutes.

Went for the tacos, tried the shrimp, cod and pulled pork and they were all delicious. Would definitely go back again!

We've been going to Bookers for years. We always go on Sunday for AYCE crab and ribs. Covid has forced the restaurant to raise prices which has cut back on our visits due to cost. Nevertheless, we support them as much as we can afford and the staff always treat us right. Fun place to eat and socialize and the crab is excellent. We will be back in May for my daughters birthday.

The General Manager at this place was horribly unprofessional and brazen. She overheard us discussing our tip because of a group bill being split up and harassed us very abruptly for something negative about our server, who had done a good job. If that bad taste wasn't enough, she continued trying to get us to give her negative feedback about her telling us she's new on the job and she didn't really have any faith in her, basically running this poor girl through the coals. After giving more positive feedback about the server she made extremely tasteless comments implying that our positive feedback was inappropriately directed ("Well, she's 18 so...") The "General Manager" made our entire group feel uncomfortable, we couldn't leave fast enough.... The Crab was overpriced and unremarkable. The turkey was extremely dry. The Calamari was done perfectly and the bbq ribs were amazing. The overpriced food could be excused had it not been served in a garbage can lid. Overall, Bookers would do much better without a miserable and rude General Manager.

Booker's is kind of iconic in Calgary. For the past twenty years, I have driven by the painting of the crocodile with the Mardi Gras beads with a fondness and curiosity. I had the pleasure of dining in for the first time last summer and had a stellar experience. Friendly service and amazing food. My favourites from here are the mixed Brisket plate, Jalapeno Mac and Cheese and the Biscuits (which they sadly no longer offer). During the dine-in shutdowns, I ordered take-out from them several times and the food was fresh and close to the dine-in experience.Unfortunately, my recent take-out experience in the past few weeks wasn't as excellent as the last few times. I ordered my favourite dish (the Brisket plate) and it didn't have the flavour and tenderness that I've gotten in the past. In addition, our order just seemed hastily slapped together. I know that everyone is allowed to have an "off" day, so hopefully this is just a one-time occurence.I'm glad I finally got to experience that restaurant with the partying crocodile mural I so often saw in my days of yesteryear. I'm just hoping my next time will replace the previous disappointing order.

I hadn't eaten here in years and was looking forward to the bucket of crab for dinner. Most of the crab legs were empty with little to no meat and the barbeque platter we got had no flavour on it. The service was great and everyone was really friendly but I won't eat here again. There's much better bbq and seafood options in Calgary.

Worst customer service! Food is blah. Don’t waste your time or money on this poor excuse for a restaurant!
I asked waitress to bring starter and 30 to 40 mins later bring main course. Five minutes after the starter the main course arrived. I couldn't eat that much food so soon after starter. I didn't tell my wife but it ruined my birthday dinner. Dr Mike.

Staff was great and very accommodating. We didn't like the table that was given to us, so we asked the hostess if we could move to another table, and they didn't hesitate to move us to another table. This was our first time and won't be the last.

Good experience all round. Had the smoked meat platter and the meat was delicious- turkey, ribs, brisket, pulled pork. Sides also great especially beans. Good selection of local beers and friendly and helpful service. Will go back again
Went to bookers for all you can eat crab. The food was great but service was slow. It took 15 minutes for each new bucket of crab. Ran out of napkins and that took another 15 minutes.. if it was busy I could understand but they weren't even at 20% capacity also the servers could be seen socializing with eachother at the bar. Will return again withs hopes of redemption.
