Used to go here frequently, prices keep going up while the portions get smaller. Today I ordered 4 quesadillas cost was $27..fine..inflation. But when I got them. There’s literally a pinch of chicken in each one! I left hungry. Waste of money. Never going back.

The first time I traveled from Edmonton to Calgary, we came to eat at this place, which surprised us since it preserves the style of street food, so to speak, the tortillas are handmade which gives it a homely and very delicious touch. . Highly recommended.
So the food was excellent, the atmosphere was decent, and the service was pretty good. My main detractor would be the PRICE. It is verrrry expensive considering the ambience is kind of like a food court and it’s Mexican food. Mexican food is supposed to be cheap but this place was about $6 for a small fried quesadilla (even though it was delicious) and they had 3 tacos for $16.50 which is insane. Tacos should be no more than $3 each but these are $5.50. I really enjoyed all the food we tried; the quesadilla, the pozole, the torta, the jamaica juice and horchata, but for the price, I would never go back. Cost us $60 for an average sized lunch.

Went recently with my family, food was excellent tried the tacos the fresh tortilla makes them taste really good, pozole great flavor, quesadilla was cheesy and finally a torta bun was good and had enough ingredients to make it a really good sandwich, will be back for sure my wife looked at the breakfast menu and would like to try it .

This hidden gem is the reason Tacos Mexico is no longer the best Mexican restaurant in the city for me. This restaurant is hidden away in a business plaza but it doesn’t deter from the feeling in the restaurant, nor the service or deliciousness of the food.When you first order, the price seems kind of on the more expensive end for tacos, and then when you get the food, you realize that every other Mexican place in Calgary has been ripping you off. From the fresh in house tortillas to the portion of the meat in the Tacos, and combo meals, this is what reasonably priced food that’s DELICIOUS tastes like. I’m still dreaming of the wonderful food and can’t wait to go back again soon.12/10 recommendation all around, and absolutely worth a try if you have never had authentic Mexican food.
