I won't be here and I won't be ranting on here if the staff at least apologized for the condescending service. From the commencement of my order till the end I was greeted and treated with little regard compared to everyone else. I was served without cutlery nor plates. My food was literally dumped on the table. Every other person around me was given cutlery and plates on arrival. It's was a subtle act of disregard I felt there. At the end of my meal I called the waiter's attention to this treatment and even enlightened them, giving them the reason of doubt or an oversight but from their countenance it was obvious it wasn't.I know the team might counter this review with sympathy, but I don't require it... your staff should be trained on how to treat all races equally and respectfully! .

For some outstanding Texas BBQ in lively, Kensington neighborhood check out Hayden Block Smoke and Whiskey. The signatures at Hayden are brisket, pork spare ribs and beef short rib. As a side, the green beans are a healthy yet tasty option. Not surprisingly, there is also an impressive selection of whisky (Canadian, Scottish, Irish, American, Japanese) at Hayden, with their american whiskies being the most interesting. Their smoked old fashioned is the most popular cocktail on the menu - for my palate I preferred it with Michter’s rye and half the amount of sugar syrup. For those who prefer staying near 17th ave, there is Comery Block, which offers the Tennessee rendition of BBQ.

I think the aspect of bbq would entail that it has flavour , unfortunately this didn’t meet that. The brisket was tasteless and was a little on the fattier side . Hush puppies are just corn bread balls sadly & the coleslaw was also bland but refreshing. Mind you the service from the server was excellent! Atmosphere is great for drinks and appetizers! Overall not my type of joint , definitely expected more flavour out of a barbecue house.

This is a great smoke house, and they have very tasty brisket and ribs. The sides are always great, and their broccoli salad is so good!! They have a great selection of drinks, too. Food is always consistent in taste and quality, and they have in house made BBQ sauces that add an extra special taste to the food.They also have half off on their meet after 10 pm, which the downside is that it is so late but definitely worth it. Staff are always attentive, and orders come out within a decent amount of time.Parking: Paid parking until about 5 or 6 pm and free after that, but it's still hard to find parking, especially the weekends

Fantastic staff and great quality food. Absolutely the best smoked beef ribs that we have ever tried. The chicken wings may sound expensive but worth every penny. The location is great and lots of parking around. We had 4 staff taking care of us. Not that they were not busy or we were demanding! They just cared a lot. Cannot wait to go back! ?

The food was extremely quick to arrive at the table, which was awesome! the issue is, that it was not good. We ordered beef, chicken, a sandwich and some sides. None of them good. The environment was great, amazing selection of drinks. I will definitely come back but not for the food.
