I had a craving for salad with house dressing with Cannelloni. I picked it up, drove home, and there was no dressing...it is over a ten minute drive to pick up. Learn from my mistake check the order before leaving.It's been about 3 years since last time. Since George sold to the guy in Evanston straight downhill. Soggy salad lots of water, brown. Didn't toast bread. Plus, Cannelloni was cold in the center. Just awful George and Denise would not have let this order go out.. No one is accountable for this their actions.

I have been wanting to come for a while as I live close by and it did not disappoint.The restaurant is nicely kept and decorated inside. One thing that caught my attention is how well staff cleans the tables.Service was great. They came enough to make sure we had everything we needed, but not too often to be annoying.The pizza was a hit! It was thicker than I thought so be warned. If you eat 3-4 slices or regular pizzas places, you might not make it with this one.I will definitely recommend coming here!

We have either eaten in or used take out for several years. Pizza is usually very good but last Friday I felt something was wrong with our take out order. Bottom of the box is usually very hot. That day it wasn't. I was told when I ordered it that it would be 45 minutes and yes, I arrived 10 minutes early so I know it didn't sit around.Got home 5 minutes later and to my surprise the cheese was barely melted and not roasted as usual. And the dough including the crust was barely baked. The toppings were all correct and plentiful, It just needed more time and that happens sometimes.But that's no excuse to not reply to an email that I sent 5 days ago.Shame on you for not replying.Here's the email...Good afternoon, we are regular eat in and take out customers and always enjoy the food at Matador but last night's pizza for take out missed the mark.It just wasn't baked enough.I know Friday was a very busy Skip the dishes day for you. I was told that while waiting.I kind of knew something was possibly wrong as usually the box is steaming hot and this time it was lukewarm. Maybe there's a new person running the pizza oven or just a bad night.Should we be ordering pizzas well done for now on? As this one sure needed a lot more time for the dough and to melt the cheese.Not looking for a free pizza. Just want to figure out if we have to change our ordering instructions.Cheers
