Went here at 2:00 for a family brunch, and they said “it’s just buffet only” (buffet lang po ngayon) 29.99 each. So we said okay. I came with 4 adults, 1 youth, 1 kid who is 3 years old. Food was okay but there wasn’t a lot, they did not refill. After we ate, they had ordering open. So it wasn’t buffet anymore. But we were informed buffet “only”. They didn’t say its only until 2:30 only. Also, when we went in a server named Angel, said that kids 1-4 years old are free of charge. When we went to pay, we got charged 179.94. Then we asked why, they said, it’s a charged for the kid who is THREE years old, and also said “its for gratuity 15%, “ but I’m pretty sure that if there’s 6, that’s when gratuity are a must. And its a buffet, why need the gratuity if they didn’t serve? We only had 4 adults a youth and a kid who is 3 years old which should be a free from what they said. The 15%, we were not informed before paying and sitting. Don’t go here over all. They charge you unreasonable things. Plus bad service. Yes food might be okay but the people overall is not. They don’t clarify their rules. I’m pretty sure that 15% will be for their own uses. This is a very greedy restaurant. It is illegal to just add your own tip without letting the customers know. Just saying that out there. Plus it’s less than 6 people.
So dissapointed!! Ordered sizzling tofu a day early, informed me that my order was not available a few minutes before pick up! What kind of service is that!! Pls.improve your commitment and service to your costumer..

We had our daughter’s 1st birthday at Max's and had an absolute blast! Sherwin is very easy to work with, and the design of the place was everything and above what I was looking for! The guest could not believe that it was for just a birthday! We had just over 100 guests so we filled the main space. We do have a few comments/recommendations about the place, which can be easily fixed.A dedicated area to hang the guest's jackets, especially during winter. It does get very cluttered when there is a table of 9~12 people, each having to sit on their parkas, bags, scarves etc. There was a smaller event on the other side of the restaurant, which was totally fine. We couldn’t hear any of their music, etc., but we recommend at least having extra personnel when there are two or more large parties at the same time. Sherwin and the staff were great and tried to accommodate us as best they could, but we felt that an extra person or two would have definitely helped them handle the volume of guests. Food tray arrangement, with 100+ pp, or 14 tables, we think that if the buffet food trays were more spread out, it would have been more time efficient. From an estimation, it took roughly 45-50 minutes to go through 14 tables, leaving the last tables to whatever was left (it’s a buffet, it did run out at times and guests would have to wait). The trays were laid out in a small corner which made it more “squished”.All in all, we are very satisfied! Sherwin went above and beyond what I had expected and answered my questions/concerns/changes in a very professional and timely manner. If you really want to impress your guest, DO NOT HESITATE. You are in very good hands!

This food is very authentic Filipino food. I really enjoyed having the lechon kawali and dinuguan. I only ordered delivery so I can’t speak to the atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone interested in trying classic Filipino dishes.

Not the kind of max's taste I used to have back in the Philippines. Especially their chicken that is so dry. And kare-kare's meat is so chewy.
Do not order party trays during busy days!We ate here before, held an event and ordered party trays and had a good experience. We ordered on New Year’s Eve and were very disappointed with the food! The lumpia tray which cost around $40+ were so little and soggy. The chop suey were mostly big chunks of cabbage and the Palabok looked pale and didn’t taste good!

We stopped by at this Max’s restaurant location looking forward for a great experience but ended up very disappointed with the quality of service. We asked the waitress politely if we can be seated at the far end side since there’s only a few customers and we have an infant and toddler with us that might be too noisy and can create distraction to other customers but the other waitress ( Ashly, if I heard it right) came an argue with us saying that we are not allowed on the spot that we chose, we asked why she said because of our number, we are consist of 4 adults, 1 youth, toddler and infant. She also said that “pagbibigyan ko kayo this time pero sa sunod hind na pwede” in a very rude manner… what??? Anyways, thank you for reminding us that we are not coming back at your restaurant ever again.
The food was great and tasty. I always order food from Max’s restaurant for special occasions. My guests always enjoy the food from Max’s. Also, Sherwin is always helpful and reliable, excellent customer service!Kid-friendliness: There’s always option for kids food
