The calamari was tough and the rest of the meal was fine One gripe is that it is supposed to a better restaurant but there glassware was diner quality When ordering a glass of wine or a drink it is nice to have a nice glass

Great dinner - shared the calamari starter, had bouillabaisse and chicken dinners. Both were very good and recommended. Changed out vegetables that came standard with the chicken - no issues and greatly appreciated. Attentive service but not rushed at all. Will be back.

One of my favourite restaurants in Calgary. Just a beautiful space, super ambient and romantic, with an incredible seasonal menu. Staff are always really friendly and seem to love what they do. Can't recommend highly enough.

This place is Incredible! This is the best night out that we've experienced when looking for the Best service. The Best atmosphere. And the Best French food. 'Impeccable' French dishes that Purlieu Bistro offers - Magnificent!!!We go to Purlieu and then go out to other places. Upon returning to Purlieu, we sit enjoying espresso and dessert with our guests. We reflect on how impressed we are and that this night soars above the others.It leaves me with a feeling of an escape to France!It's truly French! The chefs, the food, the libations and the service are all authentic, and SO Enjoyable!Words just can't relate, but your senses can...This is a spot hidden in a community in a strip mall that seems out of place. A true gem, and an experience you won't soon forget!!!ENJOY!Parking: Being in a strip mall makes it easy to find parking, it's free and never far from the Bistro.Wheelchair accessibility: The stall right in front of the Bistro is, I believe a handicapped stall. If not it's very wide and at the end of the mall sidewalk making great. And there is a sidewalk ramp right there at the end of the sidewalk.I was luckily not using my wheelchair at the time but was using a cane and with my oxygen machine. I have severe mobility issues and can't walk far at all due to my breathing situation and I don't have any problems with gaining access to the Bistro.

Very lovely and intimate restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. I really liked the calamari appetizer. Only negative was that they weren't able to make my post-dinner cappuccino, I expect their steamer was broken or something of the sort. I got port instead so I was still happy.

This is such a cute little restaurant! The 2 gentlemen who were serving us were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food was delicious, cocktails were just as good! It's a very nice place that you don't have to go downtown for, prices reflect that, its very reasonable for a lovely meal. We will absolutely go back!
We went for a birthday dinner, we have been before and it saddens me to say this time was not up to their usual standard. Food was cooked fantastic as usual service was just not there at all.

Have been to this restaurant several times and previously have left elated to experience incredible service and extraordinary food after each visit. This evening I was thoroughly disappointed, the food was not of the same level but I could have overlooked this had it not been for the horribly insulting and disrespectful service. My friend who I was treating to a birthday dinner, and I had barely eaten our last bite of dessert when the waiter promptly stopped by the table to ask how the bill should be sorted out. We still had wine in our glass and were enjoying our visit when I was presented with the machine to pay. We were essentially being "rushed" out of the restaurant - we were not asked if we wanted to order anything else such as a coffee or perhaps another glass of wine or a night cap. The restaurant was not full. Not likely I will recommend this restaurant again as I wouldn't want others to experience such rude and disrespectful service considering the price you pay. Very, very disappointed.

A small French bistro that has seasonal menus. Food is of high quality and always delicious. Prices are reasonable considering what you are offered in this little restaurant. Service is consistently very good. Reservations are recommended.

I was treating a friend to a birthday dinner & was excited to share this restaurant with her but was so disappointed. The food was lack lustre & not on par with past meals I've had there but the service was so disappointing, rude & disrespectful. My friend & I had just finished our dessert when the server approached the table asking how the bill was to be sorted; we still had wine in our glasses. We were not asked if we wanted anything further such as coffee, a night cap, etc. It was within minutes, that the machine was given to me for payment. After keying in the amount, the server handed it to me & left the table. He didn't wait to give me a receipt or offer thanks - nothing. We were essentially being ushered out even though the restaurant was not full. For the price they charge I expected more especially given I have been delighted previously. Based on this experience, I would not recommend it to my friends nor will I be tempted to return. Incredibly disappointing!
We had our family dinner on Dec 22 at this neighborhood restaurant. All food we ordered was excellent and nicely presented. The service was warm and good. One needs to improve is the beef steak, more seasoned and better selected as Alberta AAA quoted.
