My family and I love this place. Ramen is such a staple for us and ever since we lived out in BC and had some of the ramen there, Calgary didn't really have anything like it from there. Until this place. Ever since this place opened its been the best tasting, flavor and friendliness. The owners and staff are prompt as well as the chefs, as they help serve the food as well. The restaurant is very quaint and it's a bit small but that's what makes it unique and joy to be in. It's cozy.Best ramen in the city, in our opinion.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian ramen, with tomatoes, corn and other veggies fixings made in a soy milk based broth.Parking: The location of the parking is kind of annoying. The centre it's in has very few spots. And they get taken up a lot because of the food options here. So parking can be what troubles you here.

I visit at least once a month. To eat karaage. They always prepare the best karaage here. so perfect The broth of the ramen is also good. However, if you choose fatty meat, it is too oily. That's why I always choose the meat with less oil, thick noodles and green onion. My choices don't change. If you like Menma, please add it. Then you will feel less oily. There are always a lot of people even if you go for lunch on regular days, I recommend a time that is not too crowded. This is a karaage restaurant. Be sure to order it! The ramen tends to be a bit greasy, so choose something spicy or choose something with less fat for the char siu. If you add green onions or menma, it will feel less greasy. I liked it because it tasted similar to what I had in Fukuoka, Japan. The broth is good. There are a lot of people during lunch on weekdays, so I recommend going at a time when it isn't too crowded.

This is hands down probably my favourite ramen spot in Calgary; I lived in Vancouver for four years so believe me, I know how to judge a ramen. This place beats out most of my go-to spots in Vancouver. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the broth was made with passion and care. The black tonkotsu is probably my favourite, with the most perfect proportion of black garlic oil. They also make the most amazing chicken ramen; a quality type that we haven't had since our favourite spot back in B.C.Small dining area, so be prepared to wait during busy times; however it is well worth it. Between the wife and I, we've been back four times over the past week alone.

Went to try this place for the first time to get our ramen fix but was disappointed with the overall service and food taste. As soon as we sat down, a filthy water carafe was placed on our table. Didnt even bother to wipe the rim which instantly threw us off. Broth for both our bowls was bland and just not it. Server also was a little passive agressive, my husband went to take a candy for my daughter in the little corner and was about to put it in his pocket to give it to her as a surprise and server came up and said "Are you getting that?" As if we were planning to steal it. Just not a good start with service and cleanliness, and taste just was not to our liking.

Delicious ramen! Got the original tonkotsu and they gave you some extra noodles for free. Kinda sucks how expensive ramen is here in Calgary.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ramen Ichinen, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. I'm always on the lookout for exceptional spots and Ramen Ichinen exceeded my expectations.I opted for the Tonkatsu black with thick noodles/corn and it was beyond delicious. The broth was rich, flavourful, and you could truly taste the dedication and time that went into making the broth. Each sip was extremely flavourful and you can tell that they took their time in making their broths.Although I live in SE Calgary, I would gladly make the drive down here just to enjoy their ramen again. That's how good it was! The dedication to quality doesn't stop at the food; the service was impeccable. The servers were attentive, friendly, and truly added to the overall enjoyment to my meal.If you're in or around Calgary, Ramen Ichinen is a must-visit. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. I highly recommend making the journey down to experience their exceptional dishes firsthand. Trust me; you won't be disappointed!
