The Ryuko SE branch is one of my favorite restaurants. But it was far away, so I couldn't go often. So it was nice to have a West branch near my house. So I made a reservation today and went there. But the food was a little different from what I knew. The sushi in the premium sushi set was smaller than the East branch (especially salmon) and it was disappointing that there were no sesame seeds in the chicken katsu sauce. Next time, I'll visit the East branch again

The food here was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, the thing that took away from the experience was that everything felt quite rushed. Food came out and overfilled the table so quickly there wasn't time time to really soak up and enjoy what we were eating. A little more rest and digest time and this is 5 stars.

Came here for my birthday dinner. I was craving Ryuko and it definitely didn't disappoint. Toddler loved their creamy udon while we enjoyed a tonkatsu and some rolls. It's not a cheap meal but totally worth it and would come back anytime.Kid-friendliness: High chair but no changing tables in the washrooms.

Went for a bday dinner with my family tonight and not only was the food incredible - probably the best Japanese food we have had in a long time - but the service was outstanding . Been in the industry a long time and I was impressed . Waitress went over and above expectations . Will be coming back :)

I came here last week and enjoyed the food but was super disappointed with the service (no drinks for 20 minutes, being forgotten, lack of knowledge of the menu and much more). Luckily, I came back with my husband and Andy, our server, changed our whole outlook on this restaurant. He was knowledgeable, funny and gave great service. I am glad I came back and received a much much better experience!

Of course, the food is always delicious too.I can't remember the name of the server we had this time, but she was great. It’s a nice place, my family and had a dinner out there. The food is fresh and good, presentation is great. I liked Gochujang Sashimi Salad - spicy and refreshing. Everyone likes a desert Yuzu Pavlova - nice combination of sauces and cream, and Matcha Terrine was good. The staff is friendly. However, paying ~$75 per person (including tips), we expected something different, i would say something like experience. My wife and i wanted to order Daily Kaiseki but unfortunately it should be ordered 24 hours before a visit, we did not know that, so if you go there for this set - call in advance. The tables are pretty small - it was difficult to place all food we ordered at the table, we had to manage that situation during the dinner. So, overall it’s a good place but a bit overpriced based on our opinion.

I cannot stress this enough, I had the best experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing, the sushi was next level, the customer service was excellent and I can't wait to go back. The only down side to the experience was the smokey smell which is due to a particular dish, but the dish is so well loved that you will put up with the smoke. I highly highly recommend! You will have an amazing culinary experience here.

High quality sushi and sashimi makes this restaurant a must-go. The ramen is tasty and I highly recommend the sashimi 10 piece set. I also had the chicken katsu which was crispy and tasty but I think the pork katsu would be more flavorful. This place also has lunch sets, Omasake and kaiseki boxes and happy hours for all sorts of foodie experiences. Give this place a try!
