We come every year for a memorial anniversary, and it’s always made special by the staff at Surfy Surfy. The food is delicious and the restaurant is clean. We questioned if we should leave because after we were sat at our table 10 minutes went by and no server had come to our table yet. What was frustrating is its not very family friendly as they gave our kids two colors of highlighters to color with and there is no kids menu. Why cant a sinple kids menu be made? The restaurant is in a mall where lots of families go! Food was not terrible but tacos are overpriced for value and quality.

The plant burger had two patties on it and it was huge ! Definitely not was I was expecting when ordering it. Drink were great, staff were friendly. The chairs have been through it though .. they might want to fix some of those.

If you’re hungry while shopping at Chinook mall, don’t hesitate to stop at Surfy Surf! I had the burger and it was amazing. The bun was nice and soft, the cheese was melted over these delicious beef Pattys and the al pastor. I would grab it anytime. I can’t wait to stop by again, I’ll have to try some tacos. I also had a Pisco Paloma for a drink, the pisco and passionfruit came through quite a bit so the drink was nice a sweet.

Met with friends for dinner. The toasted coconut margaritas were AMAZING, and the queso dip was beyond amazing. The meat on the el pastor taco was quite dried out and hard, and flavour was just okay. A little disappointing given how delicious everything else was. Others raved about the night market bowl.

First time here, the food was really good but the service was exceptional. All the wait staff were friendly, attentive and made great suggestions. Alyshia, who was awesome, friendly and fun, came by to check on us and make drink suggestions, which were excellent. Potato tacos were really good. Fun night out!

Honestly, not a great experience. Our server was barely around. After reminder our server and another server, an order of guacamole & chips finally showed up after 40 mins of waiting (and then was charged for 2 orders). 2 cobb salads had barely any dressing on it, was then charged for extra dressing (without being told we would be charged).
This is our favorite restaurant in Calgary. It has been since the day we first visited in September 2023 and now we live here and are obsessed. The service is OUTSTANDING, waiters are all really friendly and atmosphere is incredibly versatile. I particularly love Megan’s margaritas. Have visited many restaurants, some Michelin star and this place takes the cake!

My husband and I had been shopping and decided we wanted to eat at Surfy Surfy to give it a try, we were not disappointed. Our server Keaton was amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu while also having such a positive attitude. Our food was fresh and brought to our table in a timely manner. We will definitely be back !

Great cocktails and attentive staff! We had a great time enjoying some cocktails. We started off with the Toasted coconut and Bananarama margarita, we shared some chips and queso. For our mains we decided to have some tacos. We decided on the Beef Taco, Fish Taco, Al Pastor Taco and the Chicken Taco. To finish our meals we had another round of cocktails, Campfire Marg and Endless Summer, which were delicious. The staff sat us right away, took our drink orders and were so kind and prompt with our mains. I would defiantly come back and enjoy more cocktails. Side note, the entrance is through the mall so I would suggest parking under ground or close to the North entrance. Prices are pretty average and comparable. The lighting was soft and music was a good volume, it was easy to have a conversation and not feel like we had to yell over each other. We didn't make it for happy hour but it looks like the specials are good and I would defiantly come back to check it out.

I was a bit disappointed about Surfy Surfy. First why make a reservation when the team does not even ask if you booked one. I booked a dinner out with my wife because we were celebrating her birthday. No acknowledgment from the hostess/ server. Once that happened, nothing really made the day anything out of the ordinary. The food was good, especially the corn fritters. I enjoyed the margaritas even though the one we wanted to try wasn't available. Is this place worth going again? Sure I would give it a second chance. Would I book a reservation again. No what is the point?

Always recognized by the hostess Nini who makes us feel like important and appreciated customers. It was our second time being served by Keaton who is incredible. It was busy but he always had the time for us. The food is delicious but the service keeps us coming back!
