Hands down the best meal I've ever had! The diversity of the flavours in ever bite was amazing! The bill was very reasonable, and the students did an amazing job. 100% recommended.

Great prices and service. Plan for it to be a longer lunch and enjoy the experience. Fun to be part of their learning. Highly recommend! Checkout their butcher too. Amazing food & prices.

The atmosphere, the attention, the care in the service, all of that makes the food very good, Carlos served us, this young Venezuelan full of dreams, helps us and guided us through the menu, the suggestion of the 2 way duck for me wife was phenomenal and I went with the Alberta beef with lobster, the only thing I suggest is that they double the portion of the lobster, I had never tasted something so delicious, plus it was our 23rd anniversary and the kitchen took the time to sign a letter and the students give us some delicate sweets, I almost forgot, the passion fruit cake took me to heaven, thank you for making this date very specialParking: In front of the restaurant you will find a parking stop you not need to pay for it, just registered the plate at the front desk

I enjoyed my meal here and will return. Service was very good. Hostess terrific, waiter a bit nervous but was friendly and efficient.Artichoke dip was delicious. We asked for more of the delicious bread as 1 triangle per person wasn’t enough to use even 1/2 the dipDuck two ways was amazing and perfectly cooked and gnocchi could have been own dish.Chicken was perfectly cooked and potato pave was a nice change. Stuffing needed a bit more seasoningDesserts were fresh and light and not too sweet. Ginger cake was yummy. Tapioca lacked some flavour but rest of the dish was good.Amazing student learning environment and great value for a fine dining mealDrinks are very reasonably priced

We spent a lovely evening! The staff was so kind as they wrote us a happy anniversary card. The best part were the desserts. The Caramel dessert was to die for! We’ll be back.

5 stars! I took my boyfriend out for dinner for his birthday and we had such a wonderful time. The service was so helpful and lovely. My boyfriend is a Chef so he had a great time watching the education aspect. The food was amazing and unique. It came out amazing and was extremely tasty! I highly recommend dining here for the experience alone. The price was amazing and tipping is optional but goes towards the program, which we absolutely loved. We can't wait to dine here again.

I enjoyed my dinner here but I feel it could use some improvements. The hostess was amazing and the server was friendly but seemed nervous, got the specials mixed up and stood next to our table during down times which was awkward. The artichoke dip and bread was delicious but only came with 4 triangles for 4 people. 2/3 of the dip was left so we asked for more bread. Please ensure there are at least 2 pieces of break per person. We weren't sure how we were supposed to finish the dip The duck 2 ways was the star of the dinner. Beautifully cooked, gnocchi could be its own dish and veg and sauce was perfect. The stuffed chicken was cooked perfectly but the stuffing lacked flavour. The 2 other guests said you couldn't taste the ham or mushrooms. The potato pave was a nice change from the norm The tapioca dessert lacked flavour. The non tapioca parts were the best Ginger cake was amazing. Very refreshing with a lot of fruit. * note the table had trouble reading the dessert menu. You may be quick to say “are they dumb” but having the title on the right hand side and the ingredients underneath was an issue. Our senior with us thought the ingredients were different desserts as did someone with us with a learning disability. We can't be the only table with this issue. Drinks were good and great value compared to other places Overall I would come again when the menu changes. It's a great learning environment but definitely needs some tweaks

We had dinner at the Highwood prior to our show at the jubilee. It is always so nice to experience dinner where all the servers are students. They are so friendly and attentive. We had the cauliflower soup and the garden salad for starters. Both delicious. The salad was so colourful too. We also ordered the bread and butter which was fantastic. For dinner we had the duck and the surf and turf which were both very tasty. The only unfortunate thing was that only 3 of the 5 desserts were available due to some staffing changes so I didn't get to try the coconut tapioca. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back!

We came for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday and I have nothing but good things to say about my dining experience. The food was great—well-seasoned and balanced. Ambience—not crowded and not at all noisy. Our highlight of the evening was the service! They truly delivered excellent service—very accommodating and went above and beyond our expectations. Overall, it was an amazing experience! I would definitely recommend my peers to dine in at The Highwood for its overall quality experience in all aspects of fine dining.

The price for the amount of food was definitely a five. I absolutely loved the cream of asparagus/leek soup. The bread itself was very oily and it was served with a side of butter. The butter was herbs and salt, not too flavorful - everything was very greasy. The main dish was surf and turf. The surf was more breading than actual seafood. The steak was good but was chewy and could have used a better sear. The potatoes looked so good, but they tasted like some kind of sweet potato due to the spices. The only thing I ate from the dish was the vegetables which consisted of one carrot, a turnip and one long stem of broccoli. The dessert was amazing. Even if I was full, I had to try it. Very elegant display, flavors were well balanced. Don't think I would go back again, but it was a good experience.Parking: The restaurant does offer complimentary parking, but we didn't know how it worked so we paid for parking.

I would gunning room is a favourite we always enjoy the meal there. It's always first class. Our server was on his first day, but did fairly well for the first time serving we will be back soon. It was most enjoyable.

We really wanted to enjoy this, but it was only average. We went for an early lunch, so the restaurant was not busy while we were there. Nothing about the food was bad, but nothing about it would prompt us to go back. The pizza sauce tasted overwhelmingly like oregano and needed just a few more minutes in the oven to brown the cheese on top. The Nicoise salad looked beautiful, but lacked a bit of flavor. The steak frites was nicely cooked and included a huge portion of fries. The arancini were average. The only stand out was the steak tartare, which was very good.
