From the moment you phone, you are greeted with a friendly and professional manner. The food exceeds the phone experience. When you go to pick up the food. They are just as friendly and professional. Great place, great people and great food

Sad to say that we just picked up our order here and the food was not very good. The meat in the ginger beef and chicken balls was low quality and chewy. The chow mein hard and rubbery and oversalted. The dumplings doughy and greasy. Had much higher expectations based on the reviews but would never order here again. Service was friendly and polite no issues there.

I am not one to just say it's not good, but the reviews say it was good to great!I'm not sure how they rate the quality or flavourful. Either way, it was not a great meal. The portions were large, but the sweet and sour pork was mushy, and I don't mean the outside it was crispy, but the inside was unrecognizable. It felt like you were eating cat food (the texture), no real meat bite to it. Then the fried rice, well, we ordered BBQ pork fried rice and got chicken they replaced that with pork slices that were old and dried out as if it was cooked and then reheated 5 times, the rice was just like they used old burn oil to fry it in. Not a good flavour. The only saving grace was the chop suey/mein. I like mine with bean sprouts and noodles, It was decent. The server was very pleasant, and the food came out quickly. So if you're in a hurry to just eat anything and be treated well. This is the place. I will not be going back anytime soon.Sorry, Uncle Ben.

This is our fifth time here, today with 9 people, everything was freshly made as per normal, Dinner for 1 is $18 and you have enough for the next day.We will be back again and again, the best ginger beef in the city.I have to chuckle at the review that says food court is better, you don't know real food. Stick to McDonald's

Used to love this place, was our go to. Had food the other day. The entire family could not eat it, was so bad. No flavor on one of the dishes bland, they might have forgotten to season it. One dish had a metallic taste to it. Will not be returning, very disappointing as we used to love this location.

I’ve ordered take out here 3 times. The first time the food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, quality ingredients, cooked fresh and served piping hot. Just fabulous. The second time I ordered takeout with friends and raved about how good it was but it really wasn’t great. The ginger beef was bland and in the tough side, the mixed vegetables and chicken fried rice were also bland and under seasoned. I thought it was just an off night for them and shrugged it off although I was a bit embarrassed about raving about how good it was to my friends. They were also disappointed. The 3rd time I was with another friend and almost everything we ordered was not good. Ginger beef was very tough. There was sauce but it was all at the bottom with the tough dried out beef sitting on top. Why didn’t they stir it all together before packing it so at least the beef was coated with sauce? The chicken cubes in the chicken fried rice were hard rather than tender, and overall was tasteless. The wor won ton soup had some broccoli, and a decent number of wontons but it was more cabbage than anything. It also was disappointing in the flavour dept. We ate maybe half of the order and tossed the rest. A waste of $35 for 2 people. I’m baffled how this place could be so good the first time then just awful after. One off night maybe, but two off nights?? The Chinese food at the food court in the mall is much better and far cheaper. I won’t be returning to Uncle Ben’s again for my Chinese Food. Sad because my memory of my first experience was so good but it seems it can’t be repeated.
