I really love this supermarket. It’s in the family of SaveOn so they do have the more rewards program. Their deli and ready to eat section is amazing. Everything I’ve had is so good but today I got the chorizo breakfast wrap and seriously…. YUM. The supermarket is clean, and the staff are always friendly. Not only is this convenient for me because I live nearby but the products are always fresh and usually have some good sales! If I lived somewhere else centrally I would still shop here! I think people have a misconception that it’s more expensive but honestly it’s really not.

A good grocery store with helpful kind staff and great deli and prepared food/kitchen. One of my kids and I had a hand pie and sausage roll and we grabbed all our food groups from the store, trying some red pears for the first time too. The blue and red bathroom lights freaked us out but I understand with the rampant drug problems these days, my kid still talking about the bathroom days later lol. It was a bit messy mainly the area where we ate at a table after shopping but we were there at the very end of the day so I’m sure that’s something they would be tackling at close. The prices were a bit high compared to other places for some produce specifically that I saw, high as well for poultry. The ground beef was a great price. The pie and roll snacks we got were a very good price and their restaurant food menu looked yummy and like a good price as well. It’s a nice market for sure and I felt it was overall high quality products from everything I saw and purchased. So far the food we have eaten from our first ever shop here has been high quality product. The organic garlic is fresher and better than any other grocery store or market I’ve been around in the city so far. My kids liked the red pears too.

Cashier is so unfriendly and so impolite to customer. Must be training again.

UPDATE: Demoting from five stars to two stars. My partner and I used to shop here for everything, it was our go-to grocery store for 2.5 years. However, we have been very disappointed with the recent spike in price gouging and new restrictions on price matching. The convenience is not feeling worth it lately.Positives: Friendly service, very nice selection of flowers most days

I've been shopping at this location Urban Fare since I moved to the neighborhood a year ago, and I really love it. They price match and also usually have quality items on sale, lots of grab and go food options, friendly staff, and security on location. Also there is often a gorgeous, well priced selection of flowers. The wine bar seating area has great happy hour food/drink, and the server Chona there is the best! She makes the wine bar experience even more wonderful and safe, and is a big reason I go back there

We have been going to Urban Fare all the time. Ken, the cashier, is wonderful! It is a pleasure to talk to him! Very nice, helpful and kind! Always great experience!

Feels like many of the positive reviews are fake. People that go here or used to go here regularly know that is sucks. Expired food, bad inventory selection, poor attitude, no carts at the entrance, high prices etc. etc.

Ken at the check-out was extremely friendly and helpful! He offered us a “More Rewards” card and explained how it works. He was exceptionally nice and simply a pleasure to talk to and we wish him all the best.

sadly the pizza bar fellow had no idea what type of soggy pizza he was selling so he got a fellow worker over to assist him with the task, I will allow 2 stars for the nice seating and window views while eating

I am absolutely outraged at the horrid service here!! My friend and I were going to have our lunch, and we had not boughten anything before we sat down. This worker named Chana came and yelled at us saying that we were not customers and we needed to buy something. My friend and I then walked up to the hot buffet and grabbed a soup cup because we did not want that much food and did not want to waste a whole container due to us wanting to be environmentally friendly. We scooped about 50g of pasta into the soup bowl, which is not enough food to even think about wasting a very large food container, and went to check out. Chana was at the register and began talking to us extremely rudely. She told us that we can not put food in the soup container and we had to put the food into the large containers, despite us telling her we wanted to be less wasteful. She charged us 4.99 for not even 50 g of food! Are you kidding me! We then asked why it was so expensive and she said it was because we didn’t put it in the right container. So we suggested pouring the food into the RIGHT container so that we could be charged by grams. Chana then proceeds to say that we “are not allowed” to change the container and that it is too late. She essentially forced us to pay for the outrageously priced pasta. Chana also expressed very rudely that we should have read the signs that explains what containers to use, but looking back, the sign does not explicitly say what containers to use when grabbing food from the hot buffet. Maybe you should read the signs first Chana! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Service is terrible

Used to be ok. Recently customer service and value for money have both gotten worse. Never any carts at the entrance, cashier doesn't even bag the groceries anymore, paper bags provided are useless (no handles), non-perishable items are frequently expired (have to check everything), frequent incorrect prices, poor staff attitude/DGAF. Live nearby, so it was convenient, but I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Really nice grocery store with a great selection and reasonably priced. Related to the Save-On chain.

Great location and so many good ‘quick bite’ options.I would caution that after living in the area for 6 months, we have experienced prices in the food aisles are often (~10% of products?) not accurately reflected at the checkout. Just suggesting that shoppers should pay attention. Too often we have had to have the cashier check the aisle advertised price.
