A truly hidden gem in Canmore. Our child asked how we booked the entire restaurant for us? Such an amazing view of nature, with snowflakes upon us, while enjoying the warmth of a real fire. The service was impeccable, and meal very tasteful. Steph has been one of the best in Alberta to take care of us. From a well travelled individual, highly recommended!

To start we were thinking this would be a great place to go for an anniversary dinner with a recommended high rating but that was a mistake. We had booked on line as the restaurant was only open from 5-8 and we were coming from Calgary. I wasn't going to write a review but changed my mind just to let others make their own decision whether to dine here or not. To begin the place is beautiful and the ambience of the restaurant was quite nice with a wood fire crackling in the background. There were only 2other tables being occupied. Our server was good and tried her best to save the evening but overall, just disappointed. We had a couple of drinks and didn't order an appetizer but the server brought out a couple of rolls, crisps and butter. We wanted to save room for the porter house (aged 45 days) cooked medium rare, we had ordered and hopefully would have had dessert but we didn't get that far. Our steak took 2hours to come out to us after our server and the chef had come out previous to let us know that it would be delayed each time by 25-30 mins. When it finally came out it was well done and very disappointing. Our server was so apologetic and took the food away to show the kitchen and of course we could not wait for another one to be cooked. She had come back with that there is no charge for our meal and the kitchen has a couple of 6oz tenderloins on the grill and be ready a few mins and will bring them out right away so we would have something but the damage of not getting the 30oz porter house steak cut for our special occasion was done and it was now after 8:30pm and were meeting some friends at 9pm. We couldn't stay so our server packed it up to go. We know this was out of her control and left her some money to cover our beers and tip but a manager should have come out to address this and done a better job to apologize for our experience, and perhaps offer to try them again in the future.

This was an outstanding dining experience. It was perfect from beginning to end. I can't speak highly enough of the staff who were friendly, attentive and helpful. The service was excellent. The quality of the food was exceptional, the portions were generous and beautifully presented. It was almost like dining in our own private restaurant. We had a lovely table with mountain views. It was my son's birthday and the staff added some special touches for him which really made the occasion. The prices are not cheap but we felt it was worth it for a special occasion. Thank you to everyone at Rustica for making our night so special.

I loved the location and feel of Rustica. Outside of the busy downtown Canmore, surrounded by mountain backdrop and a wood beam interior combined with the smell and sounds of a cracking fire. Felt like I was in a Wiser's commercial. The server was down to earth and very helpful and the experience was topped off by a ridiculous meal. We had the prime tenderloin, lobster tail and risotto and all were excellent and the steak was cooked to perfection.

We just had a fantastic meal at rustic.i had the steak and joanne had the surf and turf with the crab legs.the steaks melted in our mouths and joane said the crab legs were excellent.thanks so much to the waitress who made our meal a wonderfully and enjoyable experience.feb 8th/2024

We took our neighbours as from Australia. From the Silvertip Newsletter I was under the understanding Rustica was featuring food from Australia and New Zealand. Alas, this was not the case. Only 1 steak from Australia and the one (Australian) guest does not eat red meat. However, Ryan our server did try to help us and overall the meals were okay. I LOVE the noise level as quiet. Too many restaurants are too noisy and you cannot visit. Overall a nice evening. We had a lovely window table.

Fantastic restaurant, the service was great and the food was amazing. I had the lamb, the crust on it was perfect and the sour cherries in the sauce were divine! He had the steak and was really impressed. We had a the coffee crunch bar for dessert… wow! I asked for the recipe but that was a nogo.Highly recommend checking this place out! It was so warm and inviting with a huge fireplace.The only thing that seemed out of place was the orchids on the plate, seems like such a waste for a beautiful flower and it didn’t really match with the rest of the theme. No one asked me but I would suggest decorating the space with them and letting them grow over having them in a position to be tossed in the trash.We will certainly come back.

My Husband and I just got married up at Silvertip in September, we love Rustica and we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner there last night. The prawn and scallop appetizer and the chateaubriand were mouthwatering!
Incredible location with stunning views. Professional wait staff that knew their menu and wines. Fantastic food, 16oz steak with potatoes and salmon was amazing for 2. Palette cleansers and appetizers were also top notch. Highly recommended, but expensive!

It was Monday suppertime and I thought I would grab a meal at the Rustica with my daughter. They were closed. We tried the new market. The soup,salad & pizza were quite good. I recommend it highly.

Coming from Las Vegas I have high expectations and wasn't sure this place would be up to my usual standards. I'm more than impressed not only with the service but the food the chefs prepared was beyond exceptional. Stephanie and Ryan's service was absolutely 5 star across the board, from the drinks to the risotto the chef did not hold back on the truffle. Thank you Chef Nick,Jeff and Peter.

The food tonight we superb. We are from Las Vegas and are used to a high level of five star, five diamond service. This is what we received tonight. Our servers Stephanie and Ryan were attentive, friendly, and timed our courses well. The oysters, Alberta lamb, porterhouse steak, truffle risotto, scallops, and garlic mashed potatoes were to all top notch. I would definitely come back to this establishment and I give the chef and staff full kudos for making our anniversary dinner with family one to remember.

We had dinner on a very chilly December night and feel it could have been a bit warmer inside as we weren't seated by the fireplace. Our steak was excellent and service was good. It was our wedding dinner so we were hoping for a little extra ambience or a bit of a special touch for our booking (complimentary dessert perhaps?) but it was just an ordinary seating and service experience.
