Absolutely fabulous breakfasts! We were in Canmore for 4 days and tried The Bankhead our first morning. The four of us loved everything about our meals. I've enjoyed memorable breakfasts all over the world, and very few hold a candle to this. We usually go somewhere different every day of a trip to maximize our experiences, but we returned for three more breakfasts and one terrific dinner. The various eggs Benedict are all sensational, with perfect house-made Hollandaise. Pancakes, waffles and French toast are delectable. Potatoes can make or break a breakfast, and the smashed baby potatoes blow it up. We’d return just for those. The panoramic mountain view and soft jazz music make it calmingly experiential, and the servers were terrifically accommodating. All this, and the value for such a great meal experience is superb. A really delightful discovery for us in Canmore, and a highlight in over 30 years of great visits to our favourite mountain town.

The Bankhead Restaurant went out of their way by accommodating our group by providing a buffet for 33 people.( typically they serve by plate only )The food was served fresh, unlimited supply and was delicious. The chicken breast , baked in mushroom gravy along with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables were expertly prepared. Some chose wine from the good selection of wines to go with their meal. The salad choices were well thought out too. Also, the younger kids were happy for the kids selection of chicken fingers, fries and mac & cheese, so were the parents! The Bankhead staff were friendly and attentive to our individual needs. It was a fun night and we all agreed the food and service was excellent.

Charming spot for breakfast in Canmore with lovely staff, upscale atmosphere, and wonderful food. I particularly enjoyed the Hoho Belt, which was a breakfast sandwich steeped in history that came with an entire Canmore-centric backstory our server was kind enough to relay. If you go, definitely ask for the story. An absolute delight.

Amazing! The food was fabulous as was the staff. I had the waffle that comes with Chantilly Cream and Berry Compote (they need to bottle this!) and Maple Syrup. The flavors were complimentary and delicious. My hubby had the Smoked Brisket Benedict. It too was a Grand Slam. The Hollandaise Sauce sets the bar extremely high. It’s like it is whipped. Wishing this wasn’t our last morning in Canmore as we’d return again and again and again. Great music too

Went for breakfast , more of a middle eastern themed meal. Definitely different and not your traditional Canadian breakfast. Price was on the high end of the scale for breakfast @ $60 for 2 entrees and coffees.
The calamari appetizer was great for mountain calamari. Both of our steak meals and dessert were great. Amal provided us with unmatched service and is clearly a very hard worker who deserves recognition.
