Decent place, but I’m done with all the pride pandering. I just want a coffee without being subjected to political stupidity. It’s ENOUGH already. As a gay man, I find it completely unnecessary to have that ridiculous flag waved around. It does nothing but encourage victim mentality that weak fools thrive on. And that’s just STUPID. As long as that flags in the window, I will take my business elsewhere.

This is the coffee shop I go out of my way to frequent, traveling all the way from Millwoods to visit. Great coffee and Chai, tasty treats, nice atmosphere and service. The giant Pride flag in the window encouraged me to come in even more often. Thank you for you support ?

I love to visit anvil with a book and read for a while when I have time. The atmosphere is almost as lovely as the staff. The coffee is great and there are little pictures in the foam. The patrons are often regulars which adds to the environment.

We chose Anvil because we are nondairy and saw that they had so many options for food and drinks with no dairy. We both got a coffee with oat milk and subbed for non dairy cheese on our sandwiches. The barista taking our order was extremely hostile toward us and treated us like we were causing her such an inconvenience. I like my flat white extra hot and she told me I couldn’t have it like that because of the type of glass they serve it in? Makes no sense to me, but she definitely could’ve gotten that information across in a more polite way. Overall, the staff in this establishment were extremely standoffish which ultimately ruined the experience for us. Otherwise, the food and drinks were delightful!
Excellent quality white and dark mocha. Cozy and feels good to dine in. Love the interior and music. Clean shop as well. Will definitely come back here.

This place is lovely. We had ordered just some drip coffees and sat and chatted for a while. The coffee was excellent. Our barista was friendly and helpful. The place wasn't too busy. We grabbed a table and enjoyed our coffee. This place has great parking and was very clean. We will come back to try other items on the menu. They also carry Bloom cookies. Their menu includes other items such as lattes, red eye, Italian sodas and more.I really appreciated that they didn't have music blaring inside the location. We could have a conversation and so could the other patrons.

Matcha latte and vegan bun here was good! I appreciate the vegan options. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The little free plant clippings in the corner is a wonderful touch and absolutely made my day! The colourful tables are an absolute joy as well, the seating is compact but I think they are making the most out of the space.
