I gave 2 stars because they had been in edmonton running for a long long time. Not sure did they change owner or anything but the food gone downhill like crash landing style. I ordered on uber eat several times and the food we received it's like left over 叉燒 with all fat only... soy sauce chicken that was still raw which i can't heat back up as it was for a work event and there wasn't any stove or microwave available. 22 bucks wasted. I complained but no one cares.

Barbecue King City is the best Cantonese BBQ place in Edmonton for more than a decade. The quality and affordability of their BBQ items and lunch set are unparalleled. I'd give them 9/10 and highly recommend exploring their selection, especially the following:- BBQ Duck: Best in the city for how well it's barbecued, the crispy skin, and the flavour and texture of the meat- BBQ pork: Nicely barbecued and quality cuts of meat- Marinated wings

Best BBQ pork and roasted pork in the city! I have tried all of the shops in Chinatown & 118 Ave as well as those located in T&T and Lucky Supermarket. None of them compare to this place! Their pork is the perfect balance of savoury, sweet and charred. The couple that own and run this shop are always friendly. Cash only!

Last time I came here the meat was dry. It felt it was left overs from the day of. I'd rather make my own.

What an absolute GEM!A few friends & I went in for the first time & ordered a pound of BBQ pork (around $11-12) and a half pound of pig ear.Wow!The BBQ pork was so juicy, so flavourful, and had the right amount of lil' crispy bits on the end. It came with a BAG of sauce that we dumped over all & I wish I ate this with rice so we could soak up even more flavourful from those savoury juices. This is one of the best things I've ever eaten in Edmonton. Incredible. For pig ear, it was my first time. They ask you if you want the meat chopped up. Say yes, absolutely, just makes it easier to start eating right away. Very tasty pig ear.We wanted to order squid but by 1pm it was sold out (which means you know it's tasty!)Anywho, go support this small local business because their food is incredible.Heads up, cash only. And yes, it's worth making a trip to the bank to make this happen.
If you want good classic Chinese BBQ meats this is the go to. Ordered 1lb of roast pork and 1lb of BBQ pork (I Always ask for half fat/half meat) that way higher chance of it not being too fatty or dry.

Their prices are reasonable, food quality is good and the owner is also very nice. One of the places that I frequent a lot.

Best Chinese food in Edmonton! I love their BBQ pork and sausage. It’s not very convenient for me to go so I buy a lot and freeze some every time I go. Recommended to some friends, they’ll love this place.
